Edit. question mark taken away, it's not a rumour anymore, it's a fact... http://www.koff.net/campaigns/kesa2005b/

That's a strong rumour right now that the Offspring would play Koff's organized club gig in Finland for 700 people. Tickets can't be bought, you must win them.

Hints given about the band so far:
-The gig is in September
-They come from the U.S
-The band has four members
-One of the members has glasses

It's looking too scary, way too scary. Only two bands left in my calculations, Weezer and the Offspring. Let's hope...

2003 it was Foo Fighters to play the club gig, last year 50 Cent, this year it might the Offspring.

Yeah! But... NO! I'm not 18 yet so I can't go there, dammed... You can drop Weezer out, 2 of them have classes... Cuomo and.. Welsh?

Possible... but in 2003 they got Foo Fighters to play the club gig even though they did only Leeds and Reading festivals that year, so money is not an issue, glad they took the Offspring this time. It should be pretty sure already you know, music forums keep telling that it's the Offspring, but the band is officially announced in the end of June... they give 100 tickets away in the first competition, then comes another when the band is announced. Last year you needed to make a rap rhyme and 50 Cent's managament chose the best ones, I wonder what is it this time.

Actually, I saw the new video, and 3 of them have glasses.

It's getting even better, all the hints are supporting the Offspring. If it's not the Offspring then I'll *put something nasty here*.

This is the club they'll playing at, awesome or not?

Now it should be a fact. The latest hint is that the band has changed drummer, which is of course Ron Welty to Atom. Only one hint left anymore. I'll edit the topic once it's on the news officially, which is on next week.

Fuck yeah, indeed.

Good to see that they're also playing smaller countries ; ), hopefully they'll drop by Holland or Belgium so I can see them.

Zee, any idea about the exact date for Finland?

...thanks to the company that fully sponsors the gig, in other words pay the whole thing.

About the date, I don't know yet.

Winning the tickets, ah so much to explain. Right now they're giving 100 tickets away for the people who have guessed the band right by their hints. All the right answers have entered the allotment to win the tickets. Eeach Monday starting from 13.6 they have selected the fortunate tickets winners. The winners, as the band, will be announced next week. It's going all by plan, no one should know the band so far, since people are only guessing who could it be and try to win tickets that way. I could give a link, but it's all in Finnish and you need to register, so no use.

Next week starts another competition when the band is known officially. Rules are still unknown. It will be interesting because Offspring's crew probably choses the winners. At least previous time when 50 Cent did this club gig his management chose the winners like I have said.

More info to come next week, hehe. ;) This is pretty unique case the whole club gig all in all...

Holy fucking shit!

Täytän 18 kyl vasta elokuussa mutta kai voisin silti osallistua.. Jos vaikka valehtelis iän. ;D

Miten siihen kilpailuun voi osallistua, Zee? Etin tietoa Koffin sivuilta mut en löytäny mitään. :/

Tuolta voi osallistua. Pari maanantaita on jo kyllä arvottu, ite olin onneksi heti kärppänä ekasta arvonnasta lähtien. Mut saa nähdä minkälaisia kilpailuja niitä vielä tulee, tossa arvotaan vaan 100 lippua. Ja sitte onko mailing listalla yhtään lippuja tarjota...

Ja tonne on nimeomaan pakko päästä. :)

-Tulee USA:sta
-Nelihenkinen bändi
-Kolme käyttää plektraa
-Yhdellä jäsenistä silmälasit
-Albumeja väliltä 4-12, tekee keskiarvoksi just 8
-Rumpali vaihtunut kerran

Good luck to me.

Vähän toi levy-kysymys hämää koska sain laskutoimituksesta 5. Ja Offspringilla on 6 albumia... Ellei ne unohda ekaa levyä. XD

Rockrock. Nyt ku viel voittais.

Zee

The band and the exact date will be announced on June 27, so next Monday. I just read Sonybmg's newsletter and they said The Offspring will play in Finland in the near future, so it's a real deal now, if it wasn't before already...

Yeah baby, a club gig, officially... http://www.koff.net/campaigns/kesa2005b/

Date is still unknown, but somewhere in September... damn, I didn't win tickets yet. But you can win tickets by telling why you should see the Offspring. Better to write a fucking book of it. ;)

Damned, hey Zee, tell me how I can get there..?! (I'm under 18)

Zee

The gig is on September 19th, so there's room for Swedish gig before.
