Cause I am (well gunna try and get a ticket tomorrow anyway)). I live like and over an hour from London by train then like 40 mins on the tube. Getting there isnt a problem its getting back. I might just heave to stay with the band. :D

But I'm Gunna Go. I saw them at Reading last year and were amazed but seeing them on there own apart form the support group will be even better.

I'm going, just try bloody stopping me:

91 days, 6 hours, 23 mins to go

They were amazing at Wembely Arena last march.

I wonder why they are going to Brixton Acadamy this time, maybe they havn't put the roof back on Wembely Arena yet!!!!!!

Chris

I don't think the typical narrow minded offspring fan that happen to be at the shows would be able to recognise a decent support band for the life of them, so any band supporting them would be superfluous. Saying that, would be great if Aquabats toured with them, being on Nitro and all.....

I'm undecided whether to go

Well chuffed - Brixton is a superb little venue, far more personal and easier to see at than Wembley, and with a standing area unlike Hammersmith, bit of luck the support will be MUCH better than last year's - if they work hard at there set they should be good fun as the hall is so good.

For all that don't know; Brixton is 'rough', it's similar to Camden. Just don't wander about with a KKK t-shirt on and you should be fine and dandy. They do have some nice shops though so if you get there early be sure to go shopping ;)

I've been a couple of times and it's only a couple of minutes walk from the Tube station.... and there is always a crowd of people going to the Academy from the tube and going back straight after.

You'll be in and out of Brixton before you know it.... and the locals would have to be nutters to pick on a load of Offspring fans :D -- Tell your Mum to stop worrying!!!

brixton is a safe place, when my friend and his mates got mugged at knife point just before nofx a year ago i think it was the muggers took their wallets and i gave them a tenner back each cos they have no money for food and drink! so it shows that the muggers only have big knifes and they are kind enough to give you some money back!

Them: "I never knew the Offspring are on tour"

Them "I didnt know that goes through the UK?"
me (getting excitted); "Do you know something I don't?"
Them: "They're playing in England"

Send More Paramedics rock harder than pretty much anything most of the 13yr old offspring crowd will have heard of!

fucking good on them to get onto a big support slot!

been an offspring fan for years and its good to see them putting a top notch UK!!!! punk/hardcore band on as their support instead of some emo/screamo/mediocore wank bollox that 99% of american touring bands bring over!

stop bitching, get that filthy simple plan of your stereos and support some good uk music for a change!

Send More Paramedics rock harder than pretty much anything most of the 13yr old offspring crowd will have heard of!

fucking good on them to get onto a big support slot!

been an offspring fan for years and its good to see them putting a top notch UK!!!! punk/hardcore band on as their support instead of some emo/screamo/mediocore wank bollox that 99% of american touring bands bring over!

stop bitching, get that filthy simple plan of your stereos and support some good uk music for a change!

yeah but a good support band would have been better even if it wasnt a UK one

don't take my word for it but they seem to be a mix of Rancid and Slipknot, and I'm not sure on what they'll sound like.

also they look like the kind of people who dance with Michael Jackson..........(thriller anyone?)

I'm gonna go on the basis that this is as close as I'll get to seeing the Offspring, also Brixton is a good venue. I saw Audioslave there this week and it was good especially when they played 'Killin' in the name of'

Send More Paramedics are amazing, it's a shame you guys can't hear that!! Not Slipknot meets Rancid as one person said, but Slayer meets Suicidal Tendencies.

If The Letters Organize are playing that would be amazing as well, they're like a chaotic rock and roll type of thing hailed as the new Refused. Send More Paramedics are on In At the Deep End Records and The Letters Organize (now on Nitro Records) have also had a CD out on IATDE Records so it's great to see an Independent UK label scoring high. There's loads of stuff on both bands at www.iatde.com also check out Hitechjet they've got an album out soon on the same label and play incredible Rock/Post Hardcore!!!

They better play in Birmingham, my mum's being a right ol' bitch and not letting me go down to London to see them, Birmingham used to be quite nice when I lived there but then the townies & chavs took over

When did you live there? Birmingham hasn't been 'nice' for the past 20 years or so!

What happened to punk spirit? You guys crack me up - complaining about Dexter choosing a 'dangerous' venue! You'll all be fine in Brixton - back in your semi in the home counties in no time. Also, SMP are amazing and I think you guys might enjoy them more than you expect - their live show is ace. Sure they have elements of thrash, but they're basically a hardcore band - with some really catchy riffs. Broaden your horizons a bit! He he :D
