What was your Greatest Hits-buying experience? I went to the mall with my friend and went to FYE; when we walked in there we started shouting Self Esteem. People were staring at us weird, but that happens all the time...
So I bought it with the new Aquabats album. Then we went to Suncoast and Hot Topic, and I was wishing everybody a happy Offspring Greatest Hits Release Day. We started talking to the people in Suncoast about the Offspring, that was fun. I didn't know they wrote the Power Rangers theme song--some fan I am, huh?--and the guy who was working there told me. Then the girl at Hot Topic said happy Dropkick Murphys release day and happy Transplants release day.
Then me and my friend watched the Dexter-and-Noodles interview over her house, and Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust. So, yeah, my day was amusing.

Oh, I forgot to talk about when I bought the GH! It was won-der-ful. I arrived at the HMV and guess what I saw!? The GH, I was like OMG! I can't believe it! So, I bought it and I began singing Me & My Old Lady reeeeaaaallly loud. I still wonder why people looked at me with weird faces.

My friend and I were a bit slow yesterday...it was the first thing you saw when you walked in, yet it still took us a bit to find it. At least we didn't have to ask the guy at the desk.
And I tend to randomly shout songs in the halls of my schools...but I'm usually pretty quiet around teachers, so they ask me if I'm feeling alright when they hear me.

What is it exactly? I don't think Hot Topics exist in Quebec.

I reserved my Dual Disc copy two weeks ago at our mall's Sam Goody, so I walked up to the counter and asked for my copy which was already paid for in full, just waiting for me to pick it up. No loud entrance or grand exits, just a big smile on my face as I left the mall.

They're not so bad. I used to be so "gawfic" and go in there all the time...now I go every once in a while. They have some pretty good band shirts. There used to be a bunch of Offspring shirts I heard; then one; then none. Now there's one again. 0.o

Hahaha, Offspring writing the Power Rangers theme, good one! Hopefully anyone didn't take it seriously...

That said, I just downloaded the theme song, it's a fucking kick ass song! And brings good memories back, hehe.

I have a question for those who have the duel disk....did it actually say dual disk on the cover, or was it normal packaging?

Yeah, Google said so, so it must be. X.x Yes, I'm a total idiot. But I trust theme song lyric sites that Google shows me.
When I searched Power Rangers though, it didn't tell the writer(s).

I wish I could destroy every Hot Topic store in existence.
I only have one problem with Hot Topic. Up until 2 months ago, they had absolutely no Offspring shirts. They finally had one (green with white skull/letters), but it was not in my size. So I figured I'll wait next week for them to restock so they do have my size.

Now it's 2 months later. I've been to the same Hot Topic about 7 times, and each time, they don't have that Offspring shirt in my size (adult large). I can tell they don't bother restocking either. Every time, it's the same sizes, in the same order. It gets annoying after a while...

Edit: It's especially annoying when they have a brand new Green Day shirt every time I go there, with about 20 in every size.

Offspring = not as popular as Green Day right now. But yeah, that used to really annoy me too.

I haven't gotten the GH yet...but I want to, cause this band was my obsession like 5 years ago. My birthday is tomorrow and my parents probably bought it for me...so no interesting stories here.

i used to go to hot topic all the time and im a very small size but they never had the smaller sizes and whenever i would ask them when they were going to get more in they always told me the same thing: we cant control what we get in stock they just ship us whatever they want. but mine never had anything offspring in stock
that said, im going to get back on topic now. i ordered my GH dualdisc a few weeks ago because even though i have all the songs, i wanted the club me cd. and it came in the mail yesterday and i was so excited i watched the dvd side right away and loved it. o yea and for whoever asked, the dualdisc comes with a clear plastic slide cover that says dualdisc down one side.

I usually go to FYE to buy CDs since it's the only decent place in this little town to get stuff like that. I NEVER buy CDs at Wal-Mart. The CDs over at ours are always edited and they have a REALLY crappy selection. However, FYE has a pretty good selection AND the CDs are uncut.

Greatest Hits (probably just the Dual Disk) has a cool case. You press a button on the side, and the case opens up. I think it's interesting.

Yeah, I was going to say...

That King of the Hill and Power Rangers thing has to be bullshit. Thanks for exposing it as a joke, whoever did.

I would have thought I'd have known about that...haha. :D Would have been pretty cool, though, if true.

I was obviously joking about the King Of The Hill thing and just before someone think I'm a 12 years old singing Offspring songs because I'm too excited to buy a simple Greatest Hits... Well, I'm sorry to disappoint you, but I wasn't serious either.

I still want to know why everyone hates Hot Topic. I've never seen one and the only thing I know is that they sell t-shirts which is not a bad thing.

Im going into town to get it on its release date over here, is there any obvious way I can Tell the single and duel disk versions apart just by looking at them?, will it have a big red flashy light above it saying "duel disk" because that would be handy

help me out?

I had actually gone into Wal-Mart with my friend Eric to see who was working and who wasn't.
And somehow we ended up looking at CDs and I'm like "WHOA SWEET WE GOT IT!" really super loud and made everyone look at me while I danced around the little electronics section. So I grab it and turn to leave when I notice Punk-o-Rama 10 right beside it (How did I get so lucky? No one listens to punk in this town), so I grab that one too and put them on layaway with the intention of picking them up once I had some money but then I decided the next day that I couldn't wait so I took all the money I owned and paid it all off and took 'em home.
It's in my car.
I'm so lazy.

My experience consisted of d/l the songs I didn't have and just added them to my mp3 player. I just spent 60 on tickets to see them at Brixton and own all their albums so I'm not prepared to waste 10 on a cd where I owe all the songs already.
