I bought the greatest hits today on DualDisk. And it is really screwed up.
These are all the problems I'm having with mine.

1. It won't play in my stereo (but it plays on my portable CD player)
2. It plays on my computer but it's all chopped up.
3. When I go to Dolby 5.1 Surround on the DVD side and try to play the songs, it only plays instrumental and some low singing. (I don't know if it should be doing this or what)
4. On the DVD part with Dexter and Noodles, they don't talk about all the songs. (That might be normal, but Iím still checking it out)
5. The disk itself looks a little weird.

I was wondering if anyone else is having the same problems or if itís just me. Please help me out.

1. The CD side dosen't conform to certain standards, so it doesn't play on everything
2. That's your computer's fault
3. I'm not too sure about this one.
4. They skip Hit That and Original Prankster because those songs are self-explainitory, and don't require much explaining.
5. I don't think this counts as a problem.

I....out. Try reading that little grey piece of paper that came on top of the disc when you opened it.

Did you at least get to the part with The Kids Aren't Alright ?

The DVD seemed fine when I played it. I ran it from my PC and its running
perfectly fine , no choppy sound just perfect quality. If its a defected cd
which once happened to me when I bought Silverstein's cd ,

You should be able to return it for a newer.

Sincerely , TRUSTpunk

Thanks for actually helping. I'm taking it back to the store today.

And to SkunkIt, there was no little piece of paper in the case.

There has been Several reports on DualDisk not working properly Most players read the DVD Fine and lots read the CD Fine As well. But some wont read the CD Side. Its Becasue The Disk would actually be slightly thicker if the CD Side was the same thinkness as normal and so the CD side is half thikness so this causes Errors. however severall DVds come out with Double sided Disks one side for 16:9 other side for 4:3 (or Special Fetures). So the DVD Side runs fine. Slot loading CD players seem to have a harder time such as the apple iMac.

Thats why im glad the UK release is a CD +DVD and not DD

3. This won't work unless you have a very exquisite sound system like a $1,000 Bose, and the system has to be able to handle the 5.1 surround, pretty much every TV in existence lacks the 5.1 capability.

they talk about hit that briefly, not about the meaning of the song, cause its kinda obvious like you said but they did talk about it alittle bit. i havent run into problems with the dvd side and because i have all the songs on cd or otherwise im not going to use it for the cd side because of all the problems i have been hearing about.

Look in the back left corner. It says something like....
This disc may not play in all portabale or home stereo systems.
Or something like that
