View Full Version : Can someone please upload the DualDisc content?

If it's, you know, even possible to do?

It looks like some of us won't ever get to see it in hard-copy format, out here in the "fringe-countries". :)

The clips on the main site looked rad, I'd really like to see this stuff.

If it's possible to rip the video explanations, and the actual visual component of the Dirty Magic acoustic track, it'd be much appreciated. :)

Thanks in advance.

I think it would be possible.

I know any enhanced cd's like Splinter and CO1 you can just open the files in "my computer" and copy them, and often music dvd's (except full concerts) are in that format as well.

Sweet.

Can someone get on to this? It'd be really cool to have. I'd do it myself, but...you know...not having access to the disc, it makes it a little hard. :D

Anything non "bit torrent" for us computer illiterates?

Come on, it can't be THAT hard to copy, wouldn't exactly take long.

Help a crazy Croc Hunter out, here.

For someone with the Dualdisk here is what to do:

1 Use a burning program (Alcohol 120%, Nero etc)
2 Create an image of the DVD
3 Upload the image of the DVD somewhere
4 We download the image, burn it to DVD, watch it and everyone is happy.

I'm getting that torrent, but it isn't video. It's an mp3 of The Stories Behind the Songs thing, and dirty magic.

I'll upload that, if you like, but surely someone out there with the Dualdisc knows how to rip a DVD?

1. Good
2. I think the DVD is copy-protected, so for those who have no experience with this, it's quite tricky.
3. Most people don't have enough space to upload. I saw some free upload sites here and there, but they usually have a maximum of somewhere between 500MB/1GB. And the DVD would probably be like 4.7GB.
4. Good

The dualdisc content is less only about 30 min, so i'm sure it would be less than a gig. Both other offspring DVDs I have have zero copy protection, but if this does you could always use dvd shrink to rip it, burn it to DVD then create the image.

DVD isn't that big, so I doubt it would be over a GB.
And get DVDshrink to fuck off the encryption.

Seriously? Less than 30 minutes... well that's not much.
If you indeed shrink it it, don't copy it to DVD again, it'll only cost you a DVD (unless you use re-writeble). Use Daemon Tools to create a virtual DVD-rom.

I'm pretty damn sure it is less than 30 min (someone said in another thread). I have two stacks of DVDs:
Vebartims for movies etc
30 cent ebayers for crap, so I don't care about wasting them.

I do however use virtual drives to play many of my games.

I know alot of you want this DualDisc so bad but I can't copy it because
I don't need the damn RIAA or even worse the MPAA getting on my case.
You can use the following to create an mpeg and share it with friends or
family. I hold no responsibility for your actions with this.

01. DVDDecrypter
http://www.dvddecrypter.r8.org

02. DVD2AVI (This was the last version v1.77.3)
http://web.archive.org/web/20041130004001/http://arbor.ee.ntu.edu.tw/~jackei/dvd2avi/DVD2AVI_1.77.3.zip

03. TMPGEnc
http://www.tmpgenc.net

First run DVD Decrypter and create the VOB for use with DVD2AVI , than
run DVD2AVI to create the avi and sound file. Open TMPGEnc to turn the
video into a .mpg file known as MPEG. Thats all im giving you.

Sincerely , TRUSTpunk

I know nothing about the technical side of this, but sounds like you guys have it under control. :D

Hah - just get an Aussie to copy it. RIAA has no reach here, and laws are much more lenient down under.

Godspeed, and good luck, Gentlemen!

I already ripped and put the Dirty Magic performance on this site, i'll upload the rest in a week, i'm VERY lazy. And you people should really buy Greatest Hits, it's worth it.

OffspringInOz
06-27-2005, 09:02 PM
We DO buy GH, but there's no dual disc version in Australia. :(

Venom Symbiote
06-27-2005, 09:12 PM
Thanks a lot for doing that, Bob, but you should really read the threads on this a bit more. :)

We WOULD buy it. If we could buy the album INCLUDING the DVD Extras, we wouldn't need you to upload them in the first place. :)

I HAVE the GH album. I HAVE NO WAY of buying the DVD Extra version/DualDisc, even if I wanted to.

Copy-protections are easy to remove... at least the type that's on PC games. I don't know if there are different kinds.

yeah it easy to do. use whatever downloading software you have, eg. LimeWire, Kazaa, WinMX, etc. and search for something called "DVD Decrypter". its not the best program out there, but it does the job.

now, if you dont have any of those downloading programs, go to www.downloads.com if youre really desperate, and again search for something called "DVD Decrypter"

once u have installed the program etc., u just put in the disc, wait for it to load up, click a button and its removing all that copyright encryption bullshit.

finally, we wait for someone to get off their ass, download the software, and put the shit up here :)

ps. im getting the dual disc this weekend :p

Oh, someone please upload it!! Here in Australia we only get Spare Me the Details instead. Now thats shit compared with the DualDisc content. Espessially for those who have all the albums, so they already have Spare Me the Details
