G.H stands for Greatest Hits

And yes they have been playing for 20 years but thats not the point. They only got there big break in 1994 when smash came out. If you count from 1989 when they first put out their first noticable record thats 16 years averaging about an album every 2 years. I wouldnt call that lazy. They have lives other then music you know.

7 albums in 20 years asn't bad at all. It works out to be a new album every 2 1/2 to 3 years. And you can pretty much throw out 9 years or your assumption because until '94, they were pretty much just struggling to make it, and most bands that are small time spend 80% of their time touring just trying to make a name for themselves. But since Smash came out they have been steadily producing albums every 2 years or so.

So to answer your question: No, I don't think they're lazy.

well, I think 7 albums it's ok for 20 years. There you've got a band like Metallica: they've been also playing for 20 years and they've only released 8 albums (without counting Garage Inc. and S&M).

Yeah. I don't think it's bad at all. It gives them time to work on them to make them good. Other bands just spit out album after album annually and because they don't take the time to work on them, it sounds like crap. The reason why bands that have been around as long as The Offspring but have like 14 more albums is because they just throw it all out there without putting much focus on it. Sure, there are some bands that can pull it off and make them good, but alot don't.

They make 1 album about every 2 years. That's a lot of work acually.

they have been pretty consistent on albums the past 10 years. albums are really hard to make. 7 albums is a decent amount of albums for 20 years expecially since they started the band at such a young age.

No, they're not lazy. They all have families. We can't expect them to just think us.

the offspring are going to release a new album next year, and probably a b-side album in a couple of years, and then, i hope, a last album. 10 albums is great.

C'mon.. somewhere in their lives they have families too, and vacations... and rehearsals, shows... not to mention managing a record co... so, I think that considering that Genius doesn't always just spring from ones fingertips (or pen), they did just fine for themselves.

Your lucky they even made any albums. If they didnt this site wouldnt exist and you'd be bored out of your fucking mind right now.

I prefer that they take a few more years than usual... I don't want to pay another 22 for 30 minutes of songs... like in Splinter. That is, IF we consider Neocon and When you're in Prison as "songs". Oh well...
