Wow, that's really interesting.

I've seen a lot of non-famous bands release CD's with a bonus DVD on the other side of the CD tray...did Columbia just want to do something fun with the new technology?

Mmm dont know is Bruces Springteen on Columbia Cause his latest album was a DD as Well (in the US) http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B0007WF1WS/ref=pd_bxgy_img_2/103-4765909-1939818?v=glance&s=music

That's really interesting. It makes sence to, because I was having lots of problems with the DualDisk. I probably won't be buying another DD for a long time.

I haven't had any problems...yet. If it's only the CD side with problems, I have no problem. I put Can't Repeat on my iPod, and downloaded Next to You and Dirty Magic (acoustic). My Dual Disk hasn't left my CD holder since Wednesday.

The biggest caveat with the DualDisc format is that it is thicker than a standard CD or DVD. As a result, it will not load into many slot-loading players. Tray-loading and top-loading players won't have any problems, though. Keep this in mind if you want to play a DualDisc on your car stereo or your laptop computer.
