I just wondered, as some people claim they have used the forums for years, and so I want to know of the more experienced posters.

this is the third major version of the board... it was up for a while, down--supposedly due to threats made against the pres--back up, down for an even longer while, then this board was up.

i've been on 'em all since almost the beginning.

I've been here since February 2000 and it's pretty interesting to watch the forum evolve and you with it. We always complain it's bad and how worse it's gotten. But I guess it's always been like this. It's just us who've changed and think it used to be way cooler.

I'm pretty much stuck in this place because I am used to it and I know some people here who are really, really awesome. May it be a minority but I don't care.

The Americana boards did begin in July 2000. However, there was a grafitti wall (forum) before that. It was freaky because it had no passwords or registrations so anyone could become your imposter.

I can't remember when I joined. I do remember posting in computing classes so that's either 2002 or 2003. I think 2002.

Must have been 2003 then. Wow I haven't actually been here that long then. Thought I'd been longer.

Actually it might have been me only posting in the offspring section until I wondered into general discussion. So I think 2002 for offspring discussion then 2003 for general discussion.

I wish, like with usenet, you had an archived posts folder where you can look back and see what you've posted. I love doing that with e-mails which I have back from 1997. Brings back some memories doing that.

I've been posting here since June 2002 I think.. not sure though. My screennames used to be
Hardcore Punk 86 (or something like it)
HardcorePunk (removed the 86)
Neuk
and after that it always has been just 'Tijs'

5 years...

I vaguely recall a board that didn't have passwords for people... but I don't remember it being graffiti anything.

Okay, I figured it out... I know that I first went to www.offspring.com as soon as I got the Internet... and so I checked my hotmail to see when my first messages were sent and it was December 1999. So, 5.5 years. Not sure when the white/red BBS game into fruition.

The red/white bbs started in July 2000.

That's the BBS for you. If it's not crap, we complain how it's going to be crap. XD

And yeah, February 2000 here as well. But I only posted around April-May or so. And I was a complete tard so I'm very happy if no one remembers me.

That was (oh god I'm such a GEEK for remember this kind of shit) Americana-era and around when I first joined (I used to switch screen names with like every post - always some two-syllable girls' name - until I had an argument with this one girl and the name Vera just stuck). Then just like months before Co1, the red/white BBS came to the picture in July or June 2000.
