A stupid, useless song. It has a nice melody though.

I don't particularly like it so much. It's not bad, though. It's just not as heavy enough for my liking.

It's one of those songs where the first time you hear it, you're like "This is awesome!" but then the more you listen to it, you're like "This is meh". Then you'll stop listening to the song for a while, but then come back to it and you'll be like "This is awesome!" and then that cycle repeats.

Maybe that's how it is just for me. Oh well, conspiracy of one is a great album :)

As much as I like the heavier offspring stuff, this song is one of my favorites.

I totaly agree!

The lyrics remembers me of my ex girlfriend. Strange, but its as if the song is about us

nice song, pretty laid-back. but i don't like the place of it on the record, i'd have put somewhere it nr 8, 9 or 10. all along, vultures and co1 to end the album would have been way better i think. but it's still a good song, at first i didn't like it that much but now i think it's pretty ok.

Ahh... you hurt my feelings... ehehe

Anyway, it's one of my all time favs! I love the song, I can relate to it a lot, maybe that's the reason why it tells me so much. And check out Ron Welty's drums. Really stylish, he showed in that song that he really IS a great drummer, very versatile, he can play all kinds of music.

I bet many of us can relate to this song. I like it too, just because it's different from the other Offspring songs.

Second-best song on Conspiracy of One.

I love the bridge bit towards the end, the screamy vocals are SO rad.

Denial, Revisited is one of my favorite songs on CO1. that album came out not long after my ex and i broke up and that song and All Along really helped me out.

You're so right!! Very good, indeed, Dexter really is a great singer... I think all elements of the band show in that song that they're capable of doing every kind of songs they like, not only the punk hard rock we're used to hear. Very good.

And by the way, what's your CO1 fav? You said this was the second best :D

I now it's not a "typical" Offspring song but it's awesome, easily one of the best trax off of Conspiracy of One, it's beautiful- is it true its not about anyone in particular? coz thats pretty hard 2 believe

platinumpt
07-12-2005, 05:01 AM
I agree with you, it's kinda hard to believe... but I've got a fine example to show ya: look at Bon Jovi. About what, 95% maybe of their songs are about broken relationships, hard life, and stuff, I doubt that every one of them is inspired by someone in particular... no offence meant to Bon Jovi fans, I actually like some of their (old) songs.

Brilliant. I'm pretty sure that Dexter wrote the lyrics when he's bored or when he's in bathroom.

Dexter took 4 years to write this song, that's what he said in an interview to a radio here in Portugal, at the time of CO1 tour. I think it was worth the wait:)

The lyrics are perfectly adjusted to the melody... unless you wanted a melody like that combined with lyrics about sex, obsession (kinda like special delivery), violence, driving cars, arson and stuff?

It's a different song, and a change feels really good once in a while! Just like Dirty Magic. It's a great song, even though it sounds a lot different than other Offspring songs

Noooooo!! Dirty Magic's lyrics are great. This song's lyrics are I don't know, it's obvious that they're written without feelings. And yes, it would be a nice song if the lyrics was about sex.

Of course Dirty Magic is a great song, and I didn't mean otherwise!!!!

And how can you say that Denial was written without feelings, and say that with Dirty Magic was different? The melodies are totally different, and Dexter's voice sounds different in the 2 songs but that's maybe because they're about 10 year away from each other, right? And that final bridge part, where Dexter spend about 40 seconds almost screaming? The guy looked like he really was feeling lots of pain! I liked it a lot! :)

Oh no, the screamings aren't natural. 1f you wnat a song with real feelings go listen Me and My Old Lady. That's written with real feelings of Dexter.

I agree, listen to the speed of the song, it leaves loads of room for Ron to really add some flavas in there. The whole CO1 reminded a lot people why Ron kicks arse. Even Noodles gave particular mention to Ron's drumming being good all over that album.

But the song itself is so cool, above all else because so many people can relate to it!
