I'm gonna go strictly by who my favorites at each are...but I doubt the band would work that well.

Vocals - Mike Patton (Faith no More, Mr. Bungle, Tomahawk, Fantomas, etc); Cedric Bixler Zaves (ATDI; Mars Volta)
Guitar - Trey Spruance (Mr. Bungle); Buckethead (Buckethead)
Bass - Les Claypool (Primus, Oysterhead, Frog Brigade, CCBBB, etc)
Drums - Josh Freese; Joseph Easley (from Dismemberment Plan); Danny Heifetz (Mr. Bungle again) I like them all

let's play separation, see how possible this is....Obviously the Mr. Bungle people know each other. Les Claypool has played on some of Buckethead's solo albums as well as having a band together. Mike Patton had a very very short lived band named Moonraker with Buckethead, and is a huge fan of Buckethead's earlier band the Deli Creeps. So there you've got Patton, Spruance, Buckethead, Claypool and Heifetz.
Now it's just Cedric, Josh Freese and Joseph Easley...
Josh Freese is in A Perfect Circle, therefore he is friends with Maynard. Tool has had both Tomahawk and Fantomas open for them, therefore Maynard and Patton know each other, so that could get Freese...but Joe and Cedric...that would be tough. I've heard their fans of each others bands, but even if they ended up meeting each other, they're not tied in to anyone else here.
