View Full Version : I give you, the world's most pointless insect.

TheUnholyNightbringer

MOTHS.

I hate, and despise this insect like no other insect on Earth. It is pointless. It's attracted to light, yet nocturnal. It's not even interestingly poisonous or harmful. It's just.. there. And it stops people from having their windows open at night in the summer.

And worst of all.. one's just divebombed headlong into my orange juice.

BASTARDS!

They have a purpose. They drive up sales of both clothing and moth balls when people realize they just had a bunch of them eat through their entire closet. I lost $65 worth of hoodies that way a couple years ago.

You think Moths are the most annoying bugs because you don't know yet the ones we've got here on scorching hot summer nights. We kinda have to shut all of all doors and turn off all the lights.Millions of them come and we cannot even stay on street talking peacefully. They fly for some hours and then lose their wings and keep talking on the floor and become that insect who destroys wood.I just don't know the name.

I never get moths in my house, I see them all the time outside but they never bother anybody. Or at least they don't bother anybody in Alaska. Come to think of it, the moths here don't even eat clothes... I wonder what they do eat.

They don't eat clothes here, either.

Jebus

Mosquitos are far worse than moths. They serve even less purpose. And they can spread diseases. I've become somewhat immune to them over the years, but I remember the summers as a kid when I'd have 10-20 bites at a time.

We have moths of all sizes, but we also have lizards all over our yards, so the moths never overpopulate.

EDIT: Mike: new avator kicks ass.
Atleast, mosquitos can kill and serve a bigger role on earth than the pointless moth.

Some do, just like some ants have wings.

I honestly don't believe misquitos are that bad. What I really hate are those asian lady bug imposter beetle things. I don't know what they are called, but they look like lady bugs but they are orange and they bite, and if you squish one they let out this horrible smell. They live in my house and there can be anywhere from 10-120 in one room. I have never even seen a 'nest' or eggs of anyof them, they just multiply by the thousands

If you mean the normal house ants, the ones with wings are drones, male ants, that mate with the Queen. Unless the ant was a huge fuck-off ant that acted as if it owned the place. In that case, it was the Queen.

I remember living in this really crapy apartment 3 years ago. The place was crawling with these giant roaches. If this wasn't bad enough, we also had mice. I placed some glue traps around my bed intended for the mice this one night and the next day I found a few of them stucked to the traps. To my surprice the mice weren't the only things stucked. A bunch of those giant roaches got trapped aswell. It was such an intresting sight to behold.

Hmm, I like moths, the big ones, cause the little ones...well, I just don't really like the little ones.
They have nice wings, and they don't look as ugly as mosquitos and ants and those kind of things.
