I liked What's the Matter Man by Rollin's Band. I also paid for Franco Un-American, suprisingly.

i don't think i've pirated any music this year. the bands i listen to usually provide free downloads but if they don't they're too small to be on p2p networks anyway, and i'd like to support them, so i pay for it.

I don't pirate individual songs too much anymore.

That's a tough one...
It'd have to be either Motörhead's Eat the Rich, or Backmask by Mindless Self Indulgence.
Actually, it might even be something by Mindi Abair or Les Claypool's Frog Brigade.

Interesting topic... The problem is, I always pirate full albums. So I'd have to think of all the albums I pirated and pick my favorite song. And I just realized "this year" includes a semester of college, where I downloaded massive amounts of music. Jeez, I have no idea. I don't really even have a favorite song any more. Maybe something by Liquid Tension Experiment was the best song I downloaded this year.

You all should be ashamed of yourself for breaking the law. Because the states laws = morality. Thus you are immoral people who deserve to be jailed for stealing hard earned money away from the artists trying to feed their families and jet planes with fuel.

Despite your jest, I will point out that artists receive about 2% of record sales.
