Veritas = Truth (in latin)

But I don't know the meaning of this drawing.

EDIT: But yeah, it must mean something, it's not like the other pics on the booklet.

I thought of doing that one but I've decided for the skull because I'd do that in black. Colors wouldn't show in me =o/

Well the thorns around the heart and the severed hand with the two fingers up seems to be a clear reference to Christ (Jesus is almost invariably portrayed in art with his hand in that position, as if he were speaking). The rest, I can't be too sure about.

it looks kinda like a sacred heart, and the sacred heart, at least as far as i have been told, means unconditional committment, which is part of the reason i have a sacred heart tattoo.

Yeah, you're right, Veritas = truth in Latin.

I guess no one noticed the 23 11 on it? After googling it, it's a passage from the bible under Matthew, which reads
"But he who is greatest among you will be your servant.
But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant.
But let the greatest among you be your servant.
But the greatest of you shall be your servant.
But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant.
But he that is greatest among you, shall be your servant.
He who is the greatest among you shall be your servant;
And the greater of you shall be your ministrant"

Don't know how relevant that is though...

How are we meant to get anything out of that?!

Its for no brakes....

the image has religious implications. the thorns around the heart (the symbol of the Sacred Heart) represents the Christian belief that the Son of God died for our sins... his suffering was in aid of our rebirth. The hand is in the symbol of the blessing that the Sacred Heart is pictured performing.

Veritas is latin for truth.. Latin is the language of Christianity.

Don't know how that relates to No Brakes but that is what the picture is of.

well this is my tattoo http://www.offspring.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/Offspring.woa/wa/fullsize?imagePos=125&gallery=418699

and this is my interpretation of this whole thing (I looked up on the internet and asked to the guy at the tattoo shop):

heart = life
sword = suffer and courage
eye = eye for an eye (it could also mean the eye of god)
3 fingers = unity
blood = loss of love
crown = idontknowhowtosayitinenglish well actually i do but i'm high right now so i don't feel like thinkin ahahah
veritas = truth but in the whole drawing i thought it would be something like "True love" or "be true to yourself"

hope it helped

Wow. I thought of starting a thread about the numbers, and then someone bumped this one.

Thank you very much!

Does anyone else know something about the numbers besides the bible?

Latin is the language of Christianity.

Not that I'm trying to be a butt or anything, but that's not really true. Christianity doesn't really have an official language, and if it did, it would be Greek, since that was the language the New Testament was written in.

P.S. Greek for truth is "aleytheia". IMO, Veritas is cooler than aleytheia.
