PHYS 450 - QUANTUM PHYSICS I

I wish i could understand that science. Not even Steven Hawking could give me a slight grasp of what it is.

My classes are surely easier than those who posted theirs. I'm not in University yet, but it's kinda like a college you have to do here before going to university.

I just realised I won't have to take advanced quantitative methods next year. :)

What kind of jobs can you get that major?

JohnnyNemesis

Heh, not much good money, but some good jobs. I might be a teacher somewhere down the line, or get some spots as a contributor and/or reviewer at some literary magazines, cultural studies magazines, some publishing companies, etc.

just a warning: ap classes aren't really equivalent to a college class. or at least the math and science ones. i know a *lot* of people that took the calcAB test, got a 4 or 5, and couldn't pass first semester calc at college (this after they failed calc2 which they figured they were ready for)...

*shrug* not that going through the classes can't prepare you for whatever, just that passing the test doesn't necessarily mean you're ready for the next class in the sequence.

ps: skratch--ODEs are kinda fun

I liked calc 3 a lot (and got an A in it). If it's anything like that, I should have a good time.
By the way, did you have a big lab thing for physics at your school? I think we have something like 7 page labs due every other week and 8 hours of lab per week :[

i had some labs for modern physics, but it was only a couple hours a week, three or four page write ups.

but... in spring, i'll be taking the electronics class. the undergrad advisor says "you'll do the workload of a fifteen to twenty unit class"--we're talking about literally 25+ hours in the lab a week, plus the guy's a TOTAL dick. he has rules like "points on a graph may not be more than .25mm in diameter" and you *must* use a french curve for all graphs. if you don't use his conventions, instant zero. http://www.ratemyprofessor.com/ShowRatings.jsp?tid=419814 sure it's 152 so most of the students are idiots to begin with, but he is a complete dick. whereas my father's gotten some interesting comments recently... http://www.ratemyprofessor.com/ShowRatings.jsp?tid=118736

Hmmz, I'll have :

Psychology
Social and political philosophy
Comparative political systems
English & French (ARRGH)
Qualitative research methods

And seminaries, which are some sorts of research/paper writings, but it's not regular lessons like once a week or so. I still have to see how that works out.

I love my courses though <3

if everything goes right, I'll be taking anatomy, medical biology, physiology, medical chemistry, etc etc in the courses:

bioregulation (not really translatable) & metabolism.
infection & immunisation
blood, oncology & gene expression
scientific training
culture & health
heart & bloodstream
kidneys & environment interior
respiratory system

should be interesting. let's just hope the exam-committee decides in my favour tonight at the meeting.

In the Danish school system, classes are divided by degree (A is the most difficult, B is second most, etc. etc.) None of my classes go below C which is normal for my education. Although slightly above some others.

English A
French A
Danish A
Spanish B
Business Law B
International Economics B
Modern History B

Had I been hardcore, I could've dropped Spanish, and taken Financial Management, or Marketing at A level. This being said, I took the pussy road. And right now I wish I had taken Philosophy at C level.

Well, you've got options and different maths classes and stuff like that. What do you want to study? Take something you like. I like the classes I have but...quantitative methods...eww. I think college is better than high school anyway.
