they are messages that you cannot notice but your brain can, they use it in films, music and many more things. for example in a film there's a subliminar message for you to buy coke, you cannot notice, but as your brain noticed it you will want to drink coke, bad explantion, but....

Agreed. I am le bored. And, I think there's a subliminal message in "Know" by System of a Down. It sounds like some Asian dude saying something.

But McDonald's is only good in the mornings. And I take it back. The subliminal message is in "Bubbles" Around 1:26 when Tankian says "May I remind you" and in 1:37 when he sas "Life is in a bubble jungle."

Theres different versions of this. The first type, is just having Someone in a film drinking a coke, or a Can Of Coke sitting in the backround. But the second type, Is A film secretley Inserting an image, (say, Coca cola) for less than a second. So you don't realize you saw it, but your brain does, and makes you crave it. That Type is illegal by the way.

Here's a fine example i caught on the movie Scorpion King:

In a dialogue between the Scorpion King (the stud) and his geek friend (the geek friend), they're on the issue of why do scorpion king rides a camel instead of a horse.

Geek: you're crazy, blah blah blah, horses are faster.
Scorpion: But camels are smarter.

later in the movie, the geek is talking to a group of geek villagers:

Geek: Can you believe what scorpion king said about camels? He said that it's not the speed that matters, but the movement, haha! blah blah...

Now i ask you ppl: What product could that dialogue be advertizing, and what kind of personality reference was linked to the product, wich will serve as a response to a teenager's phantasy?

Alright, since noone answered, i'll post my view on it.

Riding a horse = Smoking Marlboro
Riding a camel = Smoking Camel

Marlboro hits you faster (and kills you faster)
Camel takes more time, but that makes the Camel smoker wiser.

Augumenting that add, the further talking of the geek goes "He said that it's not the speed that matters, but the movement" wich could mean: Scorpion King, Camel smoker, sure knows how to fuck. He is the big hunky stud in the movie.

Those who seek such fantasies of identification in action hero movies are a significant part of the public that consumes cigarettes.

Consider the camel rider stud when you're seeking subjective relief.

Preocupado, that is pretty cool. I've seen that movie a few times and would have never though of that.

By the way, why was everyone near the beginning of the thread, and the thread maker saying subliminar messages? Shouldn't it be subliminal messages?

I heard somewhere that's fake. It worked the first time, but not the second. (if you're talking about that thing in that cinema)
