A godly Mesa Boogie mark IV is used...the guitar isn't as important...

Noodles plays the solo on an ibanez NDM, his own signature model which is based on an ibanez talman.

The sound is acheived with a Mesa Boogie Mark IV and the wonders of the studio.

it's a riff, but people not familiarized with music terminology tend to call those parts solos.

Actually, Dexter plays the riff in reality. Noodles is just shown playing it in the video.

Its not really a solo. Its somewhat of an intro/riff. Yeah. Its just kinda high pitched so people classify it as a solo.

Probably strap locks...he has a DiMarzio Tone Zone in the bridge. It's not only the Mark IV, it's also a shitload of studio effects proccessing.
Oh, and I believe the "solo" is a pre-verse. You know why? It becomes before the verse...every verse! Ha, ha!

Your signature is so true.

"Riff"

1. Music. A short rhythmic phrase, especially one that is repeated in improvisation.Ah, you got me. It's a pre-verse riff, then!

Why are you calling it an antique? It was barely introduced in 1990 and it's still in production.

You could play it fine but with a different type of tone.

do you mean when its done live? cause its clearly the NDM1 that is playing it on the cd. it has a very distinctive sound, you know, there's a real bite to it... the guitar that dex plays in that song has a very different tone, if i'm not mistaken
