"Forever and a day" is a rather common, perhaps even almost clichéd, phrase. I think it'd be hard to accuse anyone using it of plagiarism.

As much as I hate to agree with her, Little_Miss_1565 speaks the truth.

The Offspring include a lot of pop-culture references and phrases in their music. Hell, the lyrics to Ixnay are full of cliches, as awesome as they are. Not cliched in a bad way, but they're definitely words and terms that are already in the public consciousness.

Maybe that's what The End Of The Line is about- the destruction of Dexter's merry-go-round. "When the siren's flash is gone" could be.

It's a phrase? What does it mean? I mean, how do you use it?

It means a really, really long time. Like, "it's going to take me forever and a day to finish reading this book."
