Heh, I love reading the posts of people whose first language isn't English. :D

the singer used to be in catch 22 along with a few others, and also part of the most-excellent bandits of the acoustic revolution - they've only got one album out called everything goes numb so just download anything off that

...but downloading is wrong.

well just don't download anything on major labels and you're fine - they seem to be the only ones that take action - internet's best way for independent bands to get around, and of course, you can just download legally from their sites

oh right, I thought they were using some sophisticated program to find shared files and were then sending people 3000 bills (which I need for bloody top-up fees!) for any music that was on their system.

I don't really care to be honest, the amount the internet has expanded my musical horizons is vast, and i'll carry on the supporting the local scene as well through whatever means possible and I deem fit. A matter of principle - the music industry has got in wrong in my eyes......anyway, mass file-sharers are the main targets.

I thought it was the otherway around: Streetlight Manifesto was the band from Catch 22 with a different singer...? I could be wrong though. Catch 22 are pretty cool though I've never actually heard anything by Streetlight Manifesto.

I think you've just misread what I said, but you're right

basically Tomas and a few other members from Keasbey Nights era Catch 22 left and went on to form Streetlight Manifesto - thats why when you hear people talk about Catch 22, they'll refer to either the "old" or "new" era (with most people saying they much preferred them around Keasbey Nights, even though their followup Alone In A Crowd is even better in my eyes)

I'm listening to them right now. Probably the best ska band ever.

How old is this thread?

anyway, I hear Streetlight Manifesto is redoing Catch 22 - Keasby Nights. Due out in March. Don't remember the exact date.

Should be cool.

Better than making a new thread and having someone tell me to use the search button. Yeah, they're redoing Keasbey Nights, can't wait.
