upon listening to the song "Too Much Drama" by The Vandals, i noticed that it sounded very similar to "Walla Walla" by The Offspring. The Vandals song is on the album Hitler Bad, Vandals Good which was relleased in '98, while Americana was released in the same year. upon doing some research via Google i found that the vandals album was released on 6/23/98, and Americana was released on 11/17/98. it's truly impossible to tell which song was written first, but Offspring may have copied The Vandals.

um not sure about this but what ive heard it that Dex wrote the song or collaborated with the vandals, but that they only liked that part which was going to be the "too much drama" part in that song
i dont know the rest, but its funny how they make fun of that situation on theire house of blues dvd/cd "this song goes out to dexter holland"
and then the singer alters the lyrics spontainius to "walla walla, see you in the walla walla" part...
i got kinda bummed out when i saw it but hey, doesnt the chords and rythm of Self esteem seem kinda familiar to some nirvana song?

so that's what he says. i've been trying to figure that out for the longest time. i'm gonna watch the video again just for that part. yeah, self esteem does sopund a lot like a nirvana song.

dexter had originally wrote "walla walla" for the vandals, but they thought the song as it was sounded too much like other songs they had, so they kept some of the music, and joe wrote the new lyrics.

I never notice that before but its only the chorus that sounds alike. the verses are completly diferent. What Nirvana song are you talking about?
