09-13-2005, 03:31 AM
Wow Offspring were amazing last night at Glasgow SECC. First time I've seen them and they rocked. I'd deffo see them again!! :)

09-13-2005, 03:51 AM
Yea..it was good! The support bands didnt go down too well, but despite a small stage and lighting rig, The Offspring still rocked and the crowd loved it, which is prob the sign of a damn fine band if they can still do great without a lot of visuals :)

09-13-2005, 03:51 AM
HeyLaces! I see your online as well :)

09-13-2005, 04:15 AM
You talking to me?

09-13-2005, 04:40 AM
Hey, im new here but ive been an offspring fan for years, cant wait to see them on friday at brixton sounds like a wwwwicked setlist but wait, no can't repeat?!?

09-13-2005, 04:42 AM
dude it's missing gone away too, it's not complete, the guy copy/pasted mostly it from vladimir and he missed some songs of the set.

09-13-2005, 04:43 AM
Can't Repeat was played. Between Come Out And Play and bad Habit I think...but it was played anyway.

09-13-2005, 04:57 AM
oh ok, but did they definately play all the songs listed? and did they start with americana? i'd love that, its always been like my dream way of an offspring concert starting :D

09-13-2005, 05:02 AM
great set in my opinion im guessing will be almost the same for brixton. hope to see million miles away though but i doubt it but hey who knows

09-13-2005, 05:06 AM
They did start with Americana. But the opening song has been different every night of the tour so far I think...

Apart from Staring At The Sun, I'm certain all the songs listed were listed, along with Can't Repeat. I'm not saying Staring At The Sun wasn't played, I'm just can't remember if it was.

09-13-2005, 05:10 AM
americana what an opening. i think neocon was a good opening on the splinter tour

09-13-2005, 05:12 AM
Gone Away was played too. I don't have a clue where about in the setlist though.

09-13-2005, 05:59 AM
have to agree the band were superb last night and i wasnt even that drunk

09-13-2005, 06:07 AM
anyone know if any old (pre-smash) songs have been played on the tour yet?

09-13-2005, 06:08 AM
Yup, they played Staring at the Sun... there was quite a bit from Americana, nothing from Offspring or Ignition, and not much from Ixnay (Gone Away and All I Want)

Yea, StrawberryLaces, I was saying hi to you :)

09-13-2005, 06:17 AM
Was at the offspring gig last night and thought they were amazing i saw them last year as well and they have been great on both occasions

09-13-2005, 07:01 AM
I missed out can't repeat from the set list. I never copy and pasted the other set list, i just based mine on that. They played smash instead of what happened to you.

09-13-2005, 09:42 AM
Wow Offspring were amazing last night at Glasgow SECC. First time I've seen them and they rocked. I'd deffo see them again!! :)heh were all sexy beasts :D that was awsome.

09-13-2005, 09:54 AM
yeah a know when he sed that my mate screamed really loudly in my ear! (Really high!) :D

09-13-2005, 10:14 AM
I was dissapointed at the banter from the band...I bet they say the exact same stuff at every show, lol. But it was all about the music last night.

09-13-2005, 10:29 AM
I was there,It was amazing :D
I felt kinda sorry for the first support band though...

09-13-2005, 10:44 AM
I thought Send More Paramedics could have been alright if they'd got the sound a bit better...I couldn't hear the singer and I was only about 15 rows back from the barrier during the set! And when I went for a rest at the very back during The Offspring the sound was just as good as at the front...just shows what a differnece better equipment and a sound crew can make. But The Letters Organize were pretty good...the singer did too much screaming and pranced about like a gay, but the music was good.

09-13-2005, 10:51 AM
Yeah they probably do say the same at every show..but it WAS all about the music. I felt sorry for the first support too! lol :( I was in Hall 3 for 3 hours before the offspring even came on! my legs are sore and so is my hip and ribs lol

09-13-2005, 10:52 AM
Oh yes and all those sweaty people. I was just randomly hugging people lol :D

09-13-2005, 11:13 AM
Sweaty people...yeah, my shirt was soaked through with sweat, so I bought one of the World Tour 2005 t-shirts for the drive home.

Very few bands come out with interesting talking during a show anyway. Nirvana is one of the only ones I've ever heard...and it was the bassist who did it all usually, but Kurt had a few funny things to say from time to time: "See the big, fucking stupid looking neon guitar at the back? Why don't you all go throw rocks at it after the show?" lol...Foo Fighters are good at it too, but it's usually just Dave getting the crowd even more excited...as if he needs to at a Foos show!

But I'll definetly be going to see them the next time they play in Glasgow. I'd been going at my mates to get tickets as soon as the show was announced on the site and we finally got them about a week before the show, but hey were all glad that we did after it! We saw a lorry that had tipped on a roundabout on the way home...pretty scary stuff...imagine how fast he must've been going round the roundabout to actually tip a lorry!

09-13-2005, 11:13 AM
That show was well the shit man, I'm telling you. I've seen the Offspring a couple of times before but last night's show tops the lot, BY FAR. I crowdsurfed out during "Come Out And Play" (3rd Song) but came straight back in and got right down the VERY front at the very centre, right in front of Dexter. during "Can't Repeat" (4th Song) and well had a good mosh to "Kids Aren't All Right".
Starting off with "Americana" was well amazing.

09-13-2005, 11:18 AM
Hehe i saw you crowd surf! :p

09-13-2005, 11:24 AM
I also held the drum stick oh how happy was i? :D :D :D

09-13-2005, 11:30 AM
I got crushed by a guy with dreadlocks and took a panic attack during "Come Out And Play" Got really close to Greg K after that.

09-13-2005, 12:23 PM
I also held the drum stick oh how happy was i? :D :D :D
i have a drum stick :D

09-13-2005, 12:27 PM
Anyone see a sweaty guy with the dammit i changed again tattoo? If so that was me.

09-13-2005, 12:42 PM
I really loved this gig, it was the first time i've seen the offspring and it was awe-some. I practically lost my voice and my neck hurts like hell (went to rbf the nite before) but it was sooo worth it. Was still screaming after it was over. The highlight was either the kids arnt alright, self esteem or come out and play. The only bad thing about this concert is that they didnt play original prankster (i LOVE that song!!) but still amazing!!! :D :D

09-13-2005, 12:44 PM
i have a drum stick :D

hey u the guy who shouted score?

09-13-2005, 04:12 PM

I had such a good time in Glasgow, great to hear Pay The Man! I've got some sound clips on my phone which i'm trying to transfer at the mo!

Punky x

09-14-2005, 10:28 AM
Yeah the coke going threw the air was landing in my mouth (by accident) I mean i wasnt that desperate lol :p

09-14-2005, 10:57 AM
It was coke? thought it was water....

09-14-2005, 01:00 PM
Hey punky, tell em if u got those sound recordings .. coz i took loadz of pics and video. Sound on video is just messed up, concert was too loud, same on ym phone when i tried recording .......shame :(

- ye i think it was coke.. maybe both. Haha and the comdom-balloons.

09-14-2005, 01:02 PM
the condom-balloons.
lol yea when my dad seen them well...guess

and it was funny when the big security just busted it with his hands lol

ive got pics but they wont be done till fri so ill post them as soon as i get them

09-14-2005, 02:11 PM
I saw the security guy burst the condom, lol.

I didn't see any Coke being thrown around, just lots of water...but after TLO anyone who wasted the water down the front by throwing it was getting abuse from everyone else.

09-15-2005, 02:52 PM
That was funny, there was some guy who kept calling him a wanker when he turned round and shit. Then there were all these crazy waves n shit and he came over and pointed at me, my friend and some random guy behind me n told us to stop pushing. The guy was a bit of a dickhead though, he came back and had this real prickish grin on his face n went 'See I dont even have to say anything now'.

SMP were awesome, their mic was fucked and my friend says I was singing louder than he was XD but I still love their guitar shit and stuff, especially cannible's guitar tune, I love it.

Dunno if I was near anyone, I was at the left side of the stage next to a couple of girls who everyone was teasing and calling them lesbians and shit. Wearing black jeans, black grim reaper t-shirt and a red shirt. Gimme a shout if anyone was there ^_^

09-15-2005, 03:09 PM
The Offspring were awesome at Glasgow. It was the first gig i've been to and it was superb! I thought the support bands were a bit shit and not just because of the mixing problems. At least they had that sorted out for when The Offspring came on. It was well shit when the security dudes burst the "balloons" though, they added a bit of fun to the moshing.

09-21-2005, 05:24 PM
was at the glasgow gig was awsome first time seeing them live the support bands were shit but they made up for it:D

quite funny seening the 1st support bands lead singer getting a paper cup launched at him :D

Call it an Obsession
12-29-2005, 03:28 PM
aaaah memories.... it feels so long ago when they were at glasgow. that was awesome. Just thought i would be awkward and bring this back
