I want to ask moderators what material they constitute being appropriate in this forum. It seems to be if you have made one pointless thread, all will be deleted. Moderators this is not a spam or off topic thread so do not delete it PLEASE!! The whole joke making duplicate threads is over now. Could people please respond though.

The idiot above me is a good example of what constitutes the closing of a thread.

who cares. start spammin it is funnier

As I said I used to be the biggest spammer on this site. I don't wish to brag but the reason it is harder for people to spam nowadays (ie. Moderators) was due to my large spamming ways. I had around 10+ accounts and since then they have now brought in compulsory email verification to try and eliminate that. Up until a couple days ago I was still an active spammer. But when you think about it, all it does is annoy and piss people off. Leave them alone.

Look at the title of this forum - "Offspring.com Talk". You talk about the website here - questions, problems, things on the main page... anything relating to this particular website. Problems with moderators can also be discussed here, but only legitimate questions or complaints. "Mods suck!" "Mods deleted my spam!" etc. are deleted outright. Of course, it's subjective - there's no way I could write up a specific set of rules which define what's legitimate and what's not.

And don't play dumb - you've posted nothing but worthless threads here for days. If you can't figure out why previous posts were deleted, you're destined to spend your life mopping floors and dreaming about moving up to fry cook.

Look thats great, but now shouldn't you be actually doing your job and getting back to the real problem. Ie. The spammer who is active right now!!

Which is possibly you, though more likely Durcacell. David, you're a spammer. As such you've forfieted any 'rights' you may have had to post freely(within reason). Untill you're banning is complete, all your threads are subject to deletion as a result of the forfieting of you posting privilages. You're lucky they're being nice enough to let your non-spam threads stay. What constitutes closing of threads is obvious. Blatant flooding and explicit material are universally deleted. Some moderators delete threads for additional reasons(such as thread topics that have been done before recently) often outlined in sticky threads at the top of their forums. You know all this, and playing dumb doesn't make you anymore innocent.

If you look at the currently online list, me and this spammer are both online at the same time. That is impossible if I was the same user, as you cant login and post on this site at the same time with two different names. Also, if I have yesterday changed my ways, then people can see that I am now a changed person. Jack the tripper was a terrible spammer but realised the error of his ways, now I am also.

Again, stop playing dumb. You know users can have multiple accounts online at the same time. Just open different windows, it's easy.
I'm on your side and everything, but that never worked for me. Both windows would always be in the same name, no matter what I did. If I signed out of one window, both would sign out.

You open offspring.com/forums on two windows, both of which are signed out. You'll have two boxes in which to type usernames/passwords.

Trust me, coming from someone who does have multiple accounts and tried it many times, it doesn't work.

That never works. Once I sign in with one, it signs in with the other one, too.

Hmm, actually for the first time ever it is working.

different browsers works as well.

i already formulated my opinion on what to do with spammers a long time ago, and it falls almost the same as ttig's. that a blatant spammer has no right to post anything, and anything "non-spam" that is left on the board is just mods being nice. that goes to duracell particularly. none of this "boo hoo, you deleted the one non-spam post i made today. you're mean". everything you post in general chat is subject to deletion at mod discretion. luckily i'm a very forgiving type so if you keep posting nicely you might stay around.

Agreed.

Fuckme, your spamming was YESTERDAY, and you expect us to believe you changed? And you ask why threads are being deleted? It was quite obvious for yours, don't you think?

I have changed. My big turning point was this morning seeing what a jerk that Duracell bloke was for spamming so much then pretending he was oblivious to it all. Anyways you'll read all about that in my upcoming book.

I don't see one reason why this thread would be deleted. it's a pretty good question, I mean, if you haven't read the guidelines so many of us have written & all the posts explaining our actions.. but seriously, I can understand where your question comes from.

no, it's not true that if you make ONE pointless topic, all you post will automatically be deleted. first of all; that wouldn't make any sense. second of all; it'd be waaay too much work & trouble to find all the posts of some user, who made one pointless topic, & delete them one by one.

what we -do- delete, are topics/posts (more often just posts) that could be highly offensive. & I'm not talking about childish namecalling, for instance "you're an idiot". I mean, where the hell would we start, if we'd delete -that-, & such crap shouldn't even be taken seriously. & if it should be taken seriously, then it should be said. never has the board had any problems with freedom of speech & controversy & we still don't. in fact, most of the moderators have been here for years & years & all are all for it & even encourage it. thought-provoking threads, or any thread in which could florish a decent, productive & constructive discussion will be left untouched.

so far for what we -don't- delete.
* as I said we -do- delete highly offensive posts. for instance racism an sich can be highly offensive, unless it can be turned into a joke, in which case it should at least be a slightly tasteful joke, or else it'll turn out to be offensive anyway. or at least annoying.
* personal attacks in case groundless are most of the times meaningless. as soon as they aren't groundless & people get personally attacked & backstabbed for something they absolutely shouldn't be attacked for, we sometimes jump in. we try not to follow our own sense of justice, but a general sense of justice in this case.
* endless spam, which by definition consists out of bunches of posts, is unwelcome. it makes the site more difficult to browse & less fun & with the amount of members we have, we'd like to keep it as fun as possible for as many people as possible. it takes up space, it's annoying, it's unnecessary, it's unproductive & not constructive, therefore spam gets deleted.
* porn (& other images that are not suitable for the entire board) is of course not done here. a lot of our members are under the age of 15 & what they do in their own free time & no matter if they normally browse for tons of porn, that isn't relevant at all. fact is, there are kids on this site & not all of them should be, or want to be exposed to porn (again, & other images). if you want to see porn, fine with me. there's tons out there on the internet, so go ahead. but don't look for it, or post it on an Offspring fanboard, because as you might guess, it doesn't belong here, it has no place here & it shouldn't be here.

so just try to maintain some level of decency & keep in the back of your head you're not alone here on this board. that's pretty much all there's to it. considering other people. it's basic social skills we ask for. nothing much, nothing fancy.

Actually there IS a way to enter with at least 2 accounts at the same time. Won't say how to do it, as some spammer could use the idea. But believe me, it's possible. In fact, I'm now logged in as Cejus, and I'm browsing the site like a guest user, at the same time.

Anyway, if you won't spam anymore... that's a good thing. :)
