BREAK

Botch (except I like These Arms Are Snakes & Minus The Bear & wouldn't mind them being carried on as a side project)
At The Drive-In (Sparta suck & the Mars Volta suck too)
Refused (just to see them live. Supposedly they were really good)
Faith No More (Original lineup WITH Mike Patton and Chuck Moseley in a Blood Brothers-style dueling vocals showdown)
The Smiths (Johnny Marr was a decent guitarist)
Green River (C'mon, it'd be funny!)
The Jesus Lizard (why the hell not)
Rites of Spring (as long as Fugazi aren't doing anything together...)
Soundgarden (if only to rid the world of the festering shittiness that is Audioslave)
Quicksand (they were good & didn't put out enough)
Drive Like Jehu (they were better & didn't put out enough)

All that said, most band reunions are crushing disappointments.

I wouldn't reunite any bands, their new music would suck.

They're already getting back together, aren't they?

I have yet to hear any confirmation on that. I think there might be too much bad blood between them. The last time I heard it was around when Billy's solo album came out, but I think that may have just been said for publicity...

On the local rock station they said it's practically (but not 100%) confirmed that they will be back together. I heard this just a few days ago, and I trust DC101 to relay the correct information.

At The Drive-In (Sparta suck & the Mars Volta suck too)

Yes. At The Drive-In would be nice to see together again. I will agree with you that Sparta sucks, but I think The Mars Volta is amazing. Still, they're no At The Drive-In.

At The Drive-In > The Mars Volta > Sparta

Seconded.

And Coke, that was just something Billy Corgan wanted. I doubt the others besides Jimmy Chamberlain would want.

I would personally go to Kurt Cobain's grave and perform a mysterious revival ritual. And then we'd have Nirvana again.

Would spirit-Kurt still be able to sing. And is there heroin for ghosts? The question will remain until we revive him.

The Wildhearts/SG5 - Trouble is, noone but their frontman knows if either of them have actually broken up or not
SPAN - Only announced their split a couple months ago and they dont play their last gig for another month, but if theyd carried on making albums of the quality of the two they did theyd be fast becoming my favorite band.

My cd collection seems to be full of still active bands....

The Mighty Mighty Bosstones split?! HAAAAAAAAAAAHAAAAAAAAAA~~!!!

*ahem* Anyway:

At The Drive-In
1208
Deviates
Refused
88 Fingers Louie
Ten Foot Pole (original line up...I don't even like them all that much though)

Wait, Eve 6 split too?!

HAAHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAAAAAAAAA! FUCKING hell that is some good news.

This inspires a new list:

Bands whose previous members I'd kill to make sure they never reunite:

Eve 6
Soundgarden
Rage Against The Machine
Sublime
The Ramones
Guns and Roses

Completely agreed. With the possible exception of soundgarden.

Completely agreed. With the possible exception of soundgarden.

Actually, I should totally remove them from that list. I fucking loved Soundgarden, but I'm totally mad at Chris Cornell for this boring, unoriginal Audioslave bullshit. So, while a Soundgarden reunion would be acceptable, strangling Cornell might be even better.

The rest of that list, however, I make no apologies for.

I'd want Ron, James Lilja and everyone else who ever was in Offspring/Manic Subsidal to come back - a bigger band could be fun.

Stone Temple Pilots
Alice In chains (if death ain't a problem)
Nirvana
Soundgarden

Hmm I notice a pattern going on here.

To everyone picking Nirvana:

Think about it. They wouldn't be all THAT good now. They'd still be okay, and the music we know is still phenomenal, but the legendary status would be gone.

Besides, if it took Kurt's death for us to be given the amazing gift that is the Foo Fighter's self-titled 1995 CD, then I'm all for it...
