That's amazing for someone that young.
Amazing in general too.

Fuck me, age 10. Is this for REAL? I mean real as in, you know, not a scam?

That truly is genius. But it's really quite ..bizarre. Because technically, no 10 year old's thinking should be on that level in order for them to think such complex thoughts that they could form ideas behind poems.

Just. Hmm. Wow.

I've read about this girl & even saw her on tv at some show once with all her paintings. she'd have a painting of her mom, that she made at age 6, or something, which was insanely good, & she'd just tear it down with her own criticism. really, holy hell, it must fucking suck to be her. her perfectionism would even drive -me- insane & I'm pretty perfectionistic (?) as it is. with perfectionism often comes low self esteem. go figure & even try to -begin- to imagine.

Did she even know about the subject of her art at that age?

Perfectionism doesn't mean low self esteem if it relates to her work.

of course she did. at that age (you mean eight, right?), I'd been playing the violin for four years, wrote tiny stories & drew pictures to illustrate them. & I painted too. imagination isn't exactly something you develop overtime. it's most of the times just killed, smashed, ruined, spoiled & stomped on overtime.

*shakes head* you can't be a perfectionist -only- when it comes to one certain tiny little thing. just like you can't be religious only when Santa Clous is in town. it just doesn't work that way.

If she's a genius, she must know. Also, she's probably been brought up religiously. With that, come the Bible stories at a very young age. Those aren't too difficult to learn.

I'm so happy I'm not a perfectionist. I'm self-critical, for sure, but I don't expect too much from myself, things that are impossible for me to achieve. To hear that she's really self-critical, well, it's got to be tough.

amazing technical skill for a kid her age. i just hope to god her work loses the ultimate cheesiness factor as she grows older.

I can't wait to see her work once she hits those awkward teen years.
