Yeah, I know it's been noted before, the two are EXTREMELY similar...but I was messing around in SoundForge, I recently got it so I decided to see what I could do with it, and check this out:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v475/shackles_of_fear/tkaacrmix.png

Also, I uploaded that file, download it here (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v475/shackles_of_fear/tkaacrmix.png) if you want it, even the breakdown of Can't Repeat and the solo in TKAA start and end at the same time!
I don't think anyone's done this before, so please don't kill me if someone has.

In the sense that they both start out with triplets, yeah, but that would mean that many random parts of A LOT of songs are "extremely similar."

Yes they are quite similar, but that's logic when a band has a lot of songs... "Genocide-Change the World" "Dirty Magic-have you ever"...

ALSO SAY that Kid's guitar intro is PERFECT and cannot be duplicated ^.^

It didn't take that much time at all, the longest part was getting the program to open.

Yeh thats pretty cool, as well as the sound signature tho most offspring songs follow a ridged pattern anyway. If you get a guitar, or bass for that matter, then got the tabs for about 2 songs off each album, maybe less the rest of the songs arn't difficult to guess. powerchords....endless powerchords, with a second long solo chucked in ever-so often. The Kid's Arn't Alright has the same chord progression as Can't Repeat, Gone Away..have you ever, eveything off smash, everything Green Day have ever done...in fact. Buy guitars everyone, heres a chord

Thats from the view of you looking at the guitar from where you are holding it. Using that shape of hand, just slide it around the guitar along to most so-sal/american - punk songs, for the offspring usually move the 6 to 8 then to 12 and to 4 on your fret markers. Simple, all the songs more-or-less fit into that pattern. With very few exceptions. Now as i said earlier BUY ONE.

In the sense that they both start out with triplets, yeah, but that would mean that many random parts of A LOT of songs are "extremely similar."Triplets?
End of the Line (F#5 chord): 8th 8th 16th 16th 4th
Feelings (A minor chord): 8th 16th 16th 16th 16th 4th 8th 8th 8th

How are those triplets? I have yet to see triplets in any punk song. The closest I have ever seen to a triplet is in the bridge of St. Jimmy by Green Day. Also, for the record, Green Day use plenty of sus, open, and barre chords.

Gah, I don't know...I'm just a beginner, and I'm trying to teach myself, and according to the All Along tabs I printed out, it said that the main riff was made up of triplets...that's what the End of the Line and Feelings intros sounded like to me, so...that's what I called 'em. I do know what triplets are, though, I'm not completely stupid. Just most of the way there.
