I want you to post your preferred Kbps of your MP3s (wma,mp4s... if you want)
This is my preferred: for MP3s

96kbps for voice only,and
192kbps for music.

And I dont accept less than
64 kbps for voice-only, and
128 kbps for music.

I can't tell the difference between a good 128kbps and higher. But usually 160kbps.

I generally prefer 192, but if I am trying to obtain a rare song and it was in 128, I wouldn't mind so much. But 112 is the bare minimum I'd go for.

I won't go any lower than 128. The higher the better.

in the good old days of my massive WinMX-ing, I only went for 320 kbps hosted on T3+ computers. Now, I take anything I can find.

i usually get 320, but go down to 192 sometimes.

If I'm ripping the cd myself, I normally go 160 or 192. If I'm downloading it, I'll deal with 128, though there are some songs that sound godawful when it's that low.

I've two folders; one to playback on my computer with songs of 240 and 320 kbps, and the other folder ready to export(also as a back up) for my mp3 players with songs from 128 to 192 kbps. Why? Why do you think?

When I rip CDs into MP3s, I usually rip them at 190kbs.

Higher than 128, hopefully. I won't often put up with that.

When I rip CDs, 192kbps. When I [rarely] download, no lower than 128kbps (though I dislike certain numbers for some reason... so I'll choose 128 over 160 and 192 over 320... yeah, I'm weird like that). On my MP3 player I'll go as low as possible if I need the space, but past 96kbps it becomes too noticable to tollerate. I prefer OGGs, though.

I almost always use 192kbs CBR, or 128/320 VBR.

For my MP3 Player I use for rock music 112/128 CBR and for hiphop 96/112 CBR.
