Everyone was like 28 and their school dances took place in the Concord Pavillion. And none of the leading ladies had boobs, which made them different from the conformist zombies. Oh, the 90s. How I miss you. Pete 'n' Pete. d'awwww.

PCU's been on heavy rotation on HBO recently and a friend of mine tried to convice me that it was a 90's movie. Fuck that, I don't care if it came out in '94, that baby is strictly 80's. From the fact that it's based in college to the semi-grainy film to the anti-PC message, it's all in the tradition of Animal House.

I don't know what spawned 90's movies, but the film's of higher quality, the people involved are all teens - a wacky group of eccentric characters that don't really know what they're doing in life. 90's movies were all about the one experience that changed people's lives, and although everyone went through it, nobody was affected by it the same way... hmmmm, now I have a strong urge to round up random people and force them to watch "Empire Records" with me, but that'll have to wait until I go home.

I have to be honest when I say that Empire Records was a big letdown for me. The story was decent, but I couldn't stand the soundtrack.

You obviously chose to read that.

And I don't really care if you're insulted or not, to be perfectly honest with you. You should be a bit....embarrassed about your intelligence/maturity level (or lack thereof). But whatever.

That show was the reason I started drinking orange soda.

There were a lot of good shows in the 90s. This decade sucks.

Ahh the 90's. Best Music (C'mon we had Grunge AND Britpop!) and amazing tv shows as well. We had great cartoons like Ren & Stimpy, Rugrats (it was great before fucking Dill was added!), Rocko's Modern Life but now what do we have? A fucking gay Sponge! It depresses me. Also, other great 90's tv related stuff include Kennan & Kel, Fresh Prince Of Bel Air & Have I Got News for You was funnier back then too. I miss the 90's. :(

Don't associate with the majority of the board. Plenty of kids here (including myself) are teens and not dickheads, you're just lame and unable to procure a complete thought.

Dude. Captain Planet was, and still is, the most awesome piece of pseudo-tree-hugging propaganda ever put on television.

I'LL GET YOU FOR THIS CAPTAIN PLANET

I just loved how the bad guys on Captain Planet had the most ridiculous MO's ever - "I know, I'll set up a factory that manufactures refrigerators, then immediately destroys them... at the South Pole!" You'd only find arch-enemies that impractical on Captain Planet.

Their whole reason for existing was to pollute things. It wasn't like the pollution was a side-effect of their actual plan, that WAS the plan. It was amazing. They really had such a clear view on the way those heartless corporations work.

the common kid's show nowadays consists of reality. every where you turn this decade, there is a new reality show.

i miss the power rangers. and the fresh prince of bel air, and even the x-files. keenan and kel was a great show, i don't know why they put an end to it. i miss the good 'ol tv times.

I think the gay robot was Alpha-5, but I could be mistaken. "Ay-yi-yi!" was the greatest catch phrase ever. I also loved Rita, "GROW MY MONSTER, GROOOOW!" I can't believe I still remember this shit, I was like 5 years old when I watched it.
