Hey everyone how many times have you seen the offspring live? I've seen them live 4 times in Brisbane. My first time was in 1997. When was your first concert and how old were you? I was 13, I saved my pocket money with a little time to spare and we stood at the back. :) :D :o

Maybe the question should be who has traveled the longest distance to see them????

I've seen them 5 times since June.
June 11, 2005 - Louisville, KY at the Panasonic Extreme Sports Exhibition - about 112 miles/2 hours from my home town

July 20, 2005 - Indianapolis, IN at Warped Tour - about 120miles/ 2.5 hours from my home town

July 22, 2005 - Cincinnati, OH at Warped Tour - in my home town - I met them, got pics with them and their autographs. :D

September 16, 2005 - London, England UK - Brixton Academy - over 5,000 miles / 8.5 hour plane ride from my home town - My best vacation ever!!

September 17, 2005 - London, England UK - Brixton Academy - over 5,000 miles / 8.5 hour plane ride from my home town - My best vacation ever!!

My US tour reviews are posted in the Tour section on this site. I didn't do a review for the London shows yet.

I can't wait until they go on tour again. I want to meet them again!!! :)
For their next tour, I may come to Europe again or seeing them in Japan would be cool.

did you meet them at the london dates?!

did you meet them at the london dates?!

No I didn't. :( I wish that I could have. I would love to do a round of Jager shots as I have stated in my reviews. I would buy (as if they need me to do that!!) Since I am a single woman and was by myself, I didn't really feel safe sticking around Brixton after the show. Brixton didn't look like the safest place to be at night. Also, the last subway left Brixton soon after the show and I didn't really want to spend the money on a taxi to get back to my hotel.

If I had known/met some people, I would have stayed around. I had hoped to meet Dirty Bertie there because he had been emailing me with helpful tips on things to do and how to get around London but he didn't open the email that I sent to him with my picture until the 20th and I didn't have a picture of him, so neither of us knew who to look for after the gig.

I did get some fantastic pictures. Both nights I was on the side near Greg K. The first night, I was running a little late because of my tourist activities and I was about 5 deep in the pit so I only took about 60 pictures. I was learning how to use my new camera (Canon Powershot 5MP 12X Zoom). The second night, there was only one person in front of me and the pictures are even better. I took about 185 that night. Out of all of those, I got about 100 that are not messed up. The camera companies have developed image stablization on their cameras but it doesn't work when you are getting pushed several feet. The company that develops MOSH PIT STABILIZATION, will make a fortune!!! :)

If I get to meet them again, I hope that I will be able to get some of my pictures autographed.

6 times.

Toronto, Niagara Falls (NY), Pittsburgh in 2004
Columbus, Milwaukee, St. Louis in 2005

Hung out with them 4 of those times.

I never got to see them back when I really would have wanted to since I was too young to travel across the country for that sorta thing at the time.

i went to both dates and after each show i waited round for them over 2 hours but they never came out. i left in the end to catch the last train home around 12.30/1am. i waited on my own after the gig, there were a few people there on their own as well and we all kinda got chatting!

It really depends on the size of the venue and the crowd there. Weather is a factor in outdoor concerts. My experiences range from crushed but not unbearably to realizing that I either had to get out voluntarily or be brought out on a stretcher due to heat exhaustion.

although its really nice to see them up close, it sucked at the same time because you are rammed into the baricage (and i think i spelt that word wrong)

but anyway, it also sucks because people who are crowd surfing will land on you, but you can always punch them or something. good thing im short because they will usually fall over me and not on me.

but the cool thing was, i got some good photo shots and they tend to point you out and say something cool or funny.

What's even better than the front is being in front of the front. Beyond the barricade seperating the crowd from the stage. That's kickass.
