At least Panopticon is. I haven't heard their other albums yet. But yeah. Isis do dark, heavy, somewhat progressive, pretty metal. Kind of in the vain of Tool without actually sounding anything like Tool. I'd say everyone should check them out, but most of you wouldn't like them. The vocals are a little weak at times, but the album's like 45 minutes long and probably has about 3 minutes of singing on the whole thing so you don't have to deal with them that often. Because of the fact that there's virtually no vocals/lyrics, it's even harder for me to remember the song names than normal, so just check out So Did We (the song gets infinitely better after the first 30 seconds, don't let them fool you) and I guess Syndic Calls...I hope that's the song I think it is.

I'll check them out, as soon as my internet decides to fully function again. =)

Saw them when they come over to the UK this year, got to see Jesu as support as well. I kind of with I'd had enough money to actually buy the live discs they sell at shows.

yargh, now you've reminded me what I keep forgetting to bring to work, Panopticon.

Oh, I'm quite a fan of Tool. Could you give us a link to any songs please? :)

Are their other cds as good as this one? My friend says no because there's a lot more singing and the guy's voice is annoying.

The cd's out in my car and it's raining, so no. Maybe tomorrow though.

Umm, I'll be honest and say I've not listened to Panopticon in a while (mainly because I keep forgetting to bring it to work and copy it onto my computer) But I guess it's kind of true. I can post some examples off albums I guess.

Ah, well I will assume that you like Pelican, you'll probably most likely like Isis as well then.

65daysofstatic = no singing either but is fucking great.

Um, Isis = getting an extended brain massage and a nice hot bath, Tool = getting your balls bitten off and spit back into your face.

What's this? A session EP with Isis and Aereogramme? In the Fishtank 14.

In the Absence of Truth, this album may have leaked.
