ok, i need ideas for a masters thesis. yes, i won't even start thinking about working on one for at least another year, but i feel like being a dick.

so give me ideas!

right now i'm looking at doing something in the quantum computation arena. seeing as i don't care too particularly for quantum mechanics in general, it would most likely be quantum algorithms or quantum programming languages. obviously, those are algorithms exploiting the unique features of quantum computers and languages to write those algorithms in (along with more classical type programming).

what exactly are you asking?

ideas to do my masters thesis on. it'll be a physics masters, but i enjoy computer science quite a bit so i think either quantum computation or some sort of cellular dynamic mean field theory in strongly correlated electron systems sort of thing is what i'll work on.

cool. i'm illiterate in technology at a college level, so I can't exactly help you. I've heard of the things you're talking about, but I don't understand what they mean.

just throw anything into the idea cauldron. right now i've promised to subtitle the paper ": potty training in the modern age".

you could do a thesis on "you gotta keep em separated". something about two chemicals that had to separated to cool off or something. i'm joking on that one. for real, try a thesis on analyzing the internet and the people it attracts and why its so attractive.

big words for a small beard.

I just tried to understand quantum... sci-fi and had zero success. So no ideas here.

How about the advancement of technology in that area?

All About Eve

Or the advancement and how it's implemented in the new age?

explain how a volcano works and build a model!

And write a rap to accompany it.

I'm still laughing at the rap comment especially because I actually wrote a rap about volcanoes with my group in 6th grade for some project.

Do you remember any of it? Can you post it?

I wish I did. It totally pwn3d the rap a rival group wrote about hurricanes.

My volcano's so awesome, it blows hot shit
If you don't watch out, it'll burn your bits
It's sorta like a mountain with a hole at the top
Don't fall in unless you wish to become flopped

Check out those skizzals, bitches.

Basically, Quantums deals with time, right ? So you can aplly it on each way to apply them considering a "time" feature...I think you could then use any kind of subjects which have different processes and production control.
Write an uncommon pattern or algorithm, show how much you'll save the humanity with it, use it in a big software and it's done ( way of speaking )

i built a baking soda volcano last june and took it to my old high school physics teachers class. he, oddly enough, was not amused. now i know why--no rap.

i'll have to write some raps for my thesis defence.

I'm applying to colleges at the moment. Endy, do you know any colleges with good computer science programs in California? So far I'm just applying to random UCs with the hope of one of them accpeting me with my crappy grades. I'll probably going to a CSU anyways.

QCD (quantum chromodynamics). I find it to be pretty interesting but barely understand it once math is introduced.

Ever notice how the mouths of people on Star Trek are exactly in sync with their words, even though most of them don't speak English and rely on universal translators? Write something about that.
