My school did that today. Isn't it like illegal? Because they aren't supposed to press their religious or political views upon the stupids? Oh yeah I go to a Public School too.

Unless it's for a class that is studying religion, then it's a violation of the separation of Church and State.

students can hand out bibles, but if the school had any part in it, it is illegal.

I'm not catholic, but I think people overreact way too much about that sort of thing. The administration shouldn't do it, but if some students do, they're just supporting what they believe. I don't know the whole story, so if they were just being nice about it, big deal. If they were shoving them down your throats, yeah, that would be bad.

yeah you could take them if you wanted them but still, i mean it isn't legal, is it? the administration wouldn't have let them do it without their permission.

I'm not sure about the legalities, I've always been to a catholic school (cause it was the only french one)... and in university it's not illegal, at least here.

But I'd just say big deal. That's just my opinion though.

Rejection! Nah, just kidding, sorta...

But you really should make conversation about something that at least you are interested in, if you want others to be interested.

Where's the passion man?

They forced Bibles down our throats at my old school. It was Catholic. I absolutely hated it there. Some of the teachers bullied myself and other students for being atheist/of other faiths.

It's like begging the kids to hold huge Bible burnings.

it's illegal for them to organize the passing out of bibles or any other book like it because that is supporting the beliefs of a religion.
