If we're going to have a top 10 albums thread, let's have a top ten songs thread:

1.System Of A Down-B.Y.O.B
2.Audioslave-Your Time has Come
3.System Of A Down-Cigaro
4.System Of A Down-Question!
5.Audioslave-Doesn't Remind Me
6.Garbage-Bad Boyfriend
7.Nine Inch Nails-The Hand That Feeds
8.Queens Of The Stone Age-Little Sister
9.Weezer-We Are All On Drugs
10.Nine Inch Nails-Only

At least I think those are my top 10 favorites. I might be changing this list some time.

I've tried to explain and logicize this post to myself, but to no avail. I'm actually trying to figure out if this list is actually possible. Someone care to help me out?

It's actually a rather brilliant work of dadaism if you learn to look at it with an open mind.

I might make a list later if I feel like it.

Weezer's Perfect Situation pwns both Beverly Hills and We Are All On Drugs, and it's not even worthy to make the top 10 of 2005

even though this is TOP 10 songs of 2005, I have to agree that that song sucks. How can Gwen Stefani go from such good ska-ish music with No Doubt, and then go solo and do that hip-hop garbage?

I'd like to see your list, unless you're also going to say that there were no good songs this year.

Foo fighers: best of you
nine inch nails: hand that feeds
avenged sevenfold: bat country

i really cant think of any other songs that were good this year. i suppose these 3 songs are worthy.

for the most part, 2005 has been a sucky year for music. Exceptions are System's new albums, Turbonegro, Mars Volta, and a few others.

2006, on the other hand, is looking promising. Almost every band I like is coming out with a new album next year. Much to my surprise, The Mars Volta are recording their 3rd album already. Sweet.

For the most part, that is a horrible, horrible list. Avenge Sevenfold? Stained? Nickelback? 3 Doors Down? What, do you go to the "fecal matter" section of your music store or something?

As it happens, I've been listening to Sonic Youth quite a bit lately. I still need to get "Sonic Nurse" though.
