I've heard of them before but never actually listened to them until now.

And I really like them. Well, I would but I hate his accent, can't help it. Otherwise they'd be a nice decent ska band.

I remember [spunge] having a couple of good songs, but I cant remember their names anymore...
But since people here know of Sponge, any other good song reccomendations other than Plowed?(Which I Love)

Plowed = One of the best songs ever. Also be sure you check out Molly, Neenah Menasha, Rotting Pinata, Wax Ecstatic, I Am Anastasia, Velveteen, 1000 Times, Radio Prayer Line, Lucky, Disconnected, Leave This World, Unpopular Girl, Lucifer in Las Vegas, Unlucky, Back Against the Wall, and Isolation (John Lennon cover).

Fuck, that's a lot. Maybe I'll see if I can upload some, since I doubt the stuff from their last 3 albums would be very easy to find on P2P. Sponge is my favorite band, but you might be disappointed if you're expecting lots of other stuff like Plowed.

Err...

Sponge and [Spunge] = two different bands? I've never heard of Sponge before.

You should consider hearing of them.

My sister used to have a Sponge T-shirt many years ago, but I'm not sure if I remember anything by them.

Whoa! Your sister's awesome! Their most well-known songs are Plowed, Molly, Wax Ecstatic, and Have You Seen Mary. But on the whole they're the most underrated band of the 90s in my opinion.

people here would probably think my sister has better music taste than me, but she introduced me to a bunch of early-mid 90s rock. She mostly listens to oldies and classic rock now. I'll try to find some of those sponge songs but my limewire doesn't work here at my dorm because of a firewall.

Sweet. That's the cover of their first and most well-known album, Rotting Pinata (recognize it from my old avatar?). I'll upload some stuff in a bit, but here's a link to their excellent cover of John Lennon's "Isolation":
http://www.spongetheband.com/files/1_Isolation.mp3 (http://www.spongetheband.com/files/1_Isolation.mp3)
I wouldn't recommend going to their Myspace page as that has only the stuff from their latest album, which was really subpar. You'd get a bad first impression of them.

OK, here are a bunch of Sponge, not to be confused with [Spunge], songs that I uploaded. I don't know how to do the thing where you get all of the songs on the same page, so I present you with a bunch of individual links.

Plowed (http://www.savefile.com/files.php?fid=8719972)
Molly (http://www.savefile.com/files.php?fid=2190611)
Wax Ecstatic (http://www.savefile.com/files.php?fid=8772743)
Velveteen (http://www.savefile.com/files.php?fid=2123101)
Radio Prayer Line (http://www.savefile.com/files.php?fid=1182593)
Lucky (http://www.savefile.com/files.php?fid=5283521)
Unpopular Girl (http://www.savefile.com/files.php?fid=4470518)
Lucifer in Las Vegas (http://www.savefile.com/files.php?fid=1979584)

These are what I consider to be their 2 best songs from each of their first 4 albums. I was going to even upload the 2 best songs (practically the only 2 that don't suck) from their shitty new album The Man, except Savefile crapped out on me. There are tons more songs that deserve to be included, but these 8 are all very good in my opinion.
