I didn't know whether to put this in other bands or general chat. It's the 25th anniversary of John Lennon's death. RIP dude! And I don't care if it has already been done or not. If there has been another thread , well, oh well, John is important enough to have 5,000,000. I miss him!

Forget Lenon, it's been exactly one year since the death of Dimebag. :(

I got stopped in this hallway by this really annoying kid today. He was like "what're you listening to?" When I replied "Pink Floyd" (I'm so cool, amiright?), he scoffed and told me I should be listening to Pantera right now. It makes little to no sense to me as to why I should limit myself to only listening to a band just because the lead guitarist was shot today last year. I politely told him that I don't like heavy metal and kept walking, I didn't feel like getting in an argument with the kid. But, when he yelled "n00b!" at me, I told him to learn what an opinion was, etc. Exciting day, only not really.

I'm not suggesting that at all, I'm just saying, I liked him more than Lenon.

my respect level for you has reached a new low. For fucks sake, you can't even spell his name right.

AAE is infinitely cooler than you and has gotten more respect than you in a few days than what you have earned in a year. Seriously, a new low? He missed one n for god's sake. What did he do that made your respect for him go to the first low anyways?

(I'm so cool, amiright?),

something can be new without there being a previous "old"

for saying "Forget Lennon". John Lennon is far more legendary, and a better musician than Dimebag could ever dream of.

That's very subjective according to tastes; also, read my second post in this thread.

By the way, you forgot to put 'purpose' in 'your life'. My respect for you can't go negative, but whatever.

I've noticed something about this board in the past few weeks I've been here: no matter how much respect you think you have, and how much you think people give a shit about what you have to say, no one cares. At all. They just kind of ignore you or laugh in your face. Actually, I remember you from the old Green Day board, and it was exactly like that there too. I guess people just hate you for some reason.

As for the original topic of the thread, it's sad that people like Lennon die when people like Phil Collins go on uninjured.

This is so sweet.

John Lennon is the only member that I don't like too much in The Beatles. I don't know why and although I like The Beatles, Lennon's death had never bothered me at all.

Phil Collins + Dire Straits = wins, however.
