"Ignore Your Rights, and They'll Go Away"
This was a bumper sticker I saw today, and it stemmed a lot of thought. I didn't come up with a clear answer as to what this meant. Anybody care to contribute to the thought process?

It means that if you passively watch your rights be chipped away at (a la the patriot act for example) then they will quite obviously, stop being rights that you have.

Exactly what Per said. If you don't exercise your rights or at least be mindful of them, they'll cease to exist.

I think of the meaning being more like If you don't use them, you'll lose them.

That's basically what they said.

Except for some reason, when I think about it, the usage of the Miranda rights is what I apply for a meaning to that statement.
