thanks for the imput though. i've been playing for 3 years without a lesson of any kind. my playing has gotten very sloppy since i came to college because of all the studying have to do.

no. i rarely use the internet to learn how to play a song. i learned how to use power chords from looking at a tab for All I want be Offspring, though. otherwise, i've learned everything on my own.

Same here but I have to play by ear because no one tabs the songs I like, tanit to difficult I reckon'

the problem i had with tyabs was that no one ever tabbed songs right, so i just had to learn every song by ear. luckily i can hear very tiny tone and note changes, so i can pretty much hear every little thing that happens in the song. unfortunately, i have no dexterity, so it takes a while to get the hang of a song.

it can take anywhere from 5 minutes to a couple of days to learn a song. it really depends on the song. i'm 18 years old.
