View Full Version : Holy fuck, I've been posting too much lately

So I was just browsing through my posts and I realized that I've really gotta get the fuck away from this place. I've always posted pretty sparingly in the past but lately I've just been kind of addicted and posted almost as much as anyone on the forums. Take my avatar for instance. I've had this one for under a month, and I'd had my old one since the beginning of the new forums. My reply to "your avatar" was the first post I made with this new one, just to sort of introduce it. It quite frightened me to find that well over a third of my posts were made with this avatar. 38.2%, to be exact (I'm a nerd).

That's just one way to put it in perspective. Also, with this avatar, created November 15th, I'm averaging 9.11 posts per day compared with my total 1.55. I realize 9.11 is chicken shit next to some of you other chronic BBSers, and that's cool and all, but I've never had the intention of posting this much. Fuck. What's wrong with me?

I had noticed the increase. Keep it up.

Posting here more than twice a month is too much. If you need something else to do you could always go organize and categorize your Golden Girls memorabilia. If you don't have any Golden Girls memorabilia, get collectin'. Problem solved.

I haven't even listened to the offspring much in the past month or two, but I'm addicted to the bbs.

BTW, did anyone notice my absence? I had made a bet with my aunt that I could not go on to the computer for a whole week. I only lasted 5 days.

didn't notice you in the first place.

Ouch. Well, now you know that I exist. Hey, aren't you the person you used to have a weird guitar tab in your sig.?

I know what you mean, to the creator of this thread. In the last few months (not counting when my computer needed to be repared), my post count shot up like crazy. It's all the free time I have to idly check the BBS, I think.

tcha. i think my problem is that i don't have that many contacts on msn, as i'm picky as to who i speak to, however, the ones i do have either don't speak, or are never online when i am :(

I like your posts, so it doesn't bother me. The bbs is really addictive.

As for me, I haven't posted a lot since college began. Actually, I think it's even before that. I had 25 posts per day at some point. :/

I posted a lot to begin with, now I just post a few times a day at most. But I won't have internet access for possibly a few weeks after tonight because we're moving house tomorrow, and I don't want to use dial-up in the meantime.

To XYZ: It's better that you've been posting a lot more, as opposed to some random retard. I don't see a problem with having 9 posts per day. I have about 27 (or was it 21?), and I used to have about 50.

Edit: I would like to point out that my ppd is only so high because I used to post on near-spammer levels when I first joined. Take out those posts, it would be around 10.

Edit 2: As of now, 24.09 p/d.

0r4ng3: Just because I may not post as much doesn't mean a bunch of retards will suddenly invade the BBS to post instead of me or something. Unless my very presence is frightening them off, which actually would be awesome. And I know 9.11 isn't a lot by a lot of people's standards, but I've always been big on posting sparingly. Also, I check the boards more compulsively than you might guess. I lurk a lot, read a lot of threads, you know. I've just gotta stop coming here so much.

Don't stop posting, we'd miss you.

Speaking of avatars, didn't you have the ghey-ass picture of John Kerry riding a bike as your av on the previous board?

Was that when you stole my avatar? And my location? And my sig? Just to confuse me? That was the shit. I actually remembered that not too long ago but I couldn't remember what the hell my avatar was for the life of me. Thanks for the reminder. I thought I remembered it being something cooler though :( . Clearly my avatar of the guy from A-Ha is much better.

And I never said I was gonna stop posting, just that I might try to post a little less.

Your posts are of a consistently high quality. I am saddened. And will express myself appropriately.

My post count on here's very low I guess. My post count on the unofficial Offspring boards is very high: 15.5 posts a day, 9846 posts in a total of not even 2 years. Nothing's wrong with posting a lot on forums.

This board is like Myspace, you join and don't go on it a lot at first then it slowly takes over your life!

i've been posting it up like a motherfucker since i rejoined. my stats are something like 35 posts a day. that's not healthy seeing as 8 hours of that are spent at work, 4 are spent sleeping, and 2 are spent travelling to and from work.
