Anyone here heard about that big-ass oil refinery explosion in Hemel Hempstead, in Hertfordshire? it was the largest explosion in europe since WW2, and it's 7 miles away from my flat

but anyway, apparently there were people who felt it as far away as the Netherlands, so i'm curious if any Dutch people actually felt it, or indeed, have heard about it?

They're covering it on the national news over here.

I think you mean heard and not felt. I doubt anyone felt the force of that so far away, but hear is a possibility. I heard nothing, but I also went to sleep at sometime between 4-5am that morning. I can't see any smoke in Slough while at work either.

I doubt it was felt in any other counrty. I live in Dover and was on my way to work and I didn't fell anything sop the likely hood of that is near impossible. However, its pretty much being covered on all new programms in most places so most people would have heard of it.

Oh good luck if you live near the place I hear you are all going to be engolfed in fumes that might kill off a few asthma sufferers. Ah the laws of physics strike again.

Haha, I read some thing on the BBC comments page where someone in Whitton (Twickenham) said they felt it and such. What a load of shit. I'm closer to it and no one in my house felt anything, or heard anything even.
