It's all just a question of being polite to them. And we're taught to stand up and leave a seat free to a very old person or a person with crutches. Fine. But when random old people fucking bump into me while getting into the bus, being all rude, fighting for a place or yelling at younger people why they won't stand up is where I stop having respect for them. Any respect.

Another wonderful example is when you hold doors open for old people, and they do one of two things: completely ignore you, or openly GLARE at you. As if you're being rude. Stupid old hags; if you don't want the door open, just say. You can open it yourself.

Grah. Sim, ursorite.

I agree. I usually think older people should be given seats on a train and treated politely and all that, but when they start yelling at you because of some completely irrelevant point, fighting for space worse than any 2nd grade class ever has... well, it's hard to see why.

A vote for Justin is a vote for mandatory euthenasia.

I agree. The worst is they talk about patience and waiting, while expecting to be first, AND TAKING THEIR TIME WHILE THEY ARE.

I don't feel bothered when I stand up and give my place to a old lady or a man. In fact I feel bothered when I don't do it. But I just hate when the tram or the bus is full of young people and an old bitch expects me not any of them to stand up with my books and heavy bag. What's the point of it? Do they think "the more you suffer, the more it shows you really care"?

with the whole bus thing, it's annoying when there's other seats next to people, but noooo, they want a whole seat to themselves.
