Im NOT studying for Political Science exam that is tomorrow. Instead, I am Drinking wine and eating cheese while listening to music. Quite frankly, I am in no mood to do ANYTHING at this time. I am on the offspring forums. GREAT!

So ah...who else here procrastinates like a champion, of all champions.

What do you people DO when you're not chatting up a storm on this...

P-ro-cras-ti-nation?????

I'm pretty much the same. Constant, intense procrastination. 10 page paper due in two days? Let's get stupid tonight and goof off! 5 page paper and an exam due tomorrow? I'll start it later; let's watch a movie!

Etc.

I do anything other then what I should be doing.

i have tuned my procrastination skills to a fine art, and i'll do anything to avoid work:

play playstation for "a couple of minutes"
watch a "bit" of television
clean up my room
wash my dishes
wash my clothes
go to asda
fold my socks
sleep
eat
drink
etc

I have two exams tomorrow and I'm not studying. I'm listening to music and posting on the bbs instead.

I'll probably stop my procrastination soon, though. I'm motivated tonight.

My socks don't match too often. I pay them no mind.

There's something beautiful about getting to a point in your life where you feel perfectly comfortable wearing socks that don't match. It's liberating, actually.

however that does take away another option for procrastination. personally, i couldnt care less about what socks i'm wearing either, but the devil makes work for idle hands.

only a french person could romanticise this

TheUnholyNightbringer
12-14-2005, 05:37 PM
procrastinatio is an art. it's reaching the abyss, then conjuring up a bridge to get to the other side in a twinkling

Actually it's not really feeling like working.

Well, seriously, how can you romanticise procrastination? It's not reaching into any kind of abyss. It's being lazy and it's being stupid and everyone does it, me included.

you know, i wouldn't have known what procrastination was if it wasn't for an old episode of Sabrina The Teenage Witch.

TheUnholyNightbringer

Of course it leads to extremes. I can honestly say that my homework has never led me to reach down any kind of cravass.

metaphores are lost on the albion-denizens

I was taking it literally on purpose. I didn't actually think History essays meant reaching down cracks in the ground.

Fool.

JohnnyNemesis
12-14-2005, 05:47 PM
sorry to differ, tunb, but sometimes procrastinating leads you to dire extremities -if you've never truly known that, you're not a true procrastinator

Just because he doesn't romanticize it and just because he realizes that we're no longer living in the Victorian Era doesn't mean that he's not a true procrastinator.

you know, i wouldn't have known what procrastination was if it wasn't for an old episode of Sabrina The Teenage Witch.

got a prob, tunb?

Why, fair maiden, a most prolific problem befalls me this lucid night. See bed over yonder? 'Tis too exhuberant a trek for my weary limbs; perhaps fair maiden would let me entwine said weary frame upon her glade this night, so I be duly rested the morrow?

ninthlayer

Procrastination you say?

By Friday I have to write eight research papers (one page each, not long at all) about eight readings that I haven't studied yet. And "by Friday" I mean that they were due last Friday and I can still get 90% for my work if I submit them by this Friday. Oh, and I also have to take a midterm exam for that course on Friday, with the same circumstances of being a week late.

Also, I need to write an essay for my Philosophy course and study for my final exam in it. These are due Monday.

I win.

TheUnholyNightbringer

Dost mine ears decieve me? My problem is disastrous, maiden! Wouldst though listen, or does incessant rambling burn thine ears from the tainted words? Hark, I say, hark!

pretty impressive TUNB...

i must say... i am quite the master at procrastinating... i'm about 13 chapters behind in AP world history... i did my reading once. that was dull so i keep putting of reading until several days after i've failed the test. i didn't make my puppet for drama until the day after it was due, and it was a muppet... i did my music video project at 2am the day before itwas due... in fact, there has never been a project or homework assignment in my life that hasn't waited until the last minute
i also generally wait until two minutes before the deadline to get my chores done... unless i'm doing them so i can go out

EDIT: aww... a new relationship i am sensing, i think

I procrastinate doing anything I don't HAVE to do. Well sometimes I do things I have to do, like handwash clothes. But only because I ran out of other things. It's the best way of procrastinating though, because you can tell yuorself it's alright, "I had to tidy anyway" "these clothes really had to be washed". So you can pretend you have an excuse not to to whatever you REALLY had to do.

I am, and will always be the best procrastinator on here. I've stayed awake, by my laptop, all night long, finding weird excuses to not start JUST yet. Literally putting it off for just another minute, for an entire evening.

Also I'd be willing to bet that Dave's old English comes from Gothmetal/troll metal.

Thought I finally might as well get down and write this essay thang, seeing as it's in tomorrow:

How far do the sources support the idea that Germany was warlike and aggressive in itís foreign policy in the years 1899-1914?

Fairly straightforward but I wish I hadn't left it this late.

tut...hang on.......my english essay is due in tomorrow......she's given us hardly any time though" really she hasn't! we had about a week to prepare, and about 4 days to write, and re-write it a few times. eek...........

TheUnholyNightbringer

An English teacher of mine did that last week. I barely got it done.

seriously though, it goes towards my final GCSE grade, and i get hardly any time to do the damned thing! it's crap, it really is. the tape we were studying for the essay broke, we couldn't see enough detail on it in the first place, she's given us no help whatsoever, and i can't do it! *screams*
