I agree with the intellectually superior commentary provided in the first 2 posts of this thread.

I think I'd get tired of any music after 20 days in the dark and deprived of basic necessities.

Exactly. It's like the Chinese water torture. Water falls on your head. So what? After a few days of it you start to go insane, no matter what it is.

Do they hold your head down or something so that you can't drink the water they are pouring on you?

Your post was as equally useless as this post is.

I could take occasional drops of water for months. Water torture involves lots of thirst, doesn't it?

I think it's a combination of the noise, discomfort, and the fact that water just feels heavier and heavier after awhile.

EDIT: I just read that the water torture has more to do with tension. When the victim is waiting for the water to slowly drip, there's this buildup of tension, followed by a shock when it drops. Before being able to relax, though, the tension begins again with the next slow drop. Leads to insanity/constant discomfort.

They tried the Chinese Water Torture in Mythbusters, and they couldn't bust it. But it is fictional (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chinese_water_torture) .

Exactly, didn't read your post :p , or I would've quoted it sooner.
