do they play punk rock on a radio station near you? (i mean good punk; not poser punk like good charlotte and yellowcard). It seems like they don't really play punk on the radio that much (at least near me) and i don't know why

real punk sucks. like the ramones or all those other old "punk" bands. to me that was more pop than the punk bands today. i'd much rather listen to sum 41 or blink 182 anyday! but if you're talking about punk as in the old bands then yeah i think they play that stuff around where i live.

HOW could you.. name those bands.

i think the ramones are just like nirvana. everybody likes them because everybody else does. they're way over-rated. people are just folowers

Some people actually happen to like the band because of their music, not because they're trendies. I see you as someone who just wants to be different.

Heh fuck you, Monster Squad would mop the floor with your lovely pop punk bands faces. They play punk here but only for 2 hours on Sat, local radio.

wow wow, calm down buddy. i'm not here to start a fight. this is just my opinion. if you dont like it, too bad. and i do like those bands its just they're too over-rated. and i do want to be different. i dont want to be a follower who's just like everyone else.

But you are a follower you follow your precious Bible, you are like everyone else just in another aspect of life, Ramones suck I admit it, some songs good, but all mostly complete shit they blew hard. However other bands during that time were much better and remained unnoticed, MC5, Velvet Underground. Sex Pistols were blown out of preportion like Nirvana, when bands like The Exploited really caused chaos in the streets. I agree with you, but listening to pop punk hardly makes you any different from anyone else.

ok ok, agreed. but i listen to music for the music. i can care less if anyone else likes the bands i listen to. and i follow the bible and i'm religious for my own good. i follow the lord and his teachings. and yes many others do. but thats a group of followers i am proud to say i'm part of. and i'm sure there are good bands like the ones you've mentioned. when i said old punk bands sucked i was refering to all the ones made popular by the punks you see walking around witht their homemade jackets with band names sewed on. so can there be peace between us?

They werent made popular by PUNKS, they were made popular by pop culture, people caught on to it and it all went mainstream, thats why every ass that listens to Greenday says they love the Ramones so much or the Sex Pistols they dont know any better. Most bands you've never heard of are popular to punks, just not anyone else.

I've got nothing against you, I just love a good argument with insults and swearing.

well alright then. :) i like a good argument too and i must say you've won this one. but next time...you better watch out.

actually The Lockup plays some pretty good stuff, albeit very late on - also gives quite a few underground uk bands an airing which is nice

Ask around maybe you can start your own public radio station, thats what the guys that do Out of Step radio did, they've got a tiny slot once a week but, atleast its there.

Edge 102 plays plenty of punk rock if you listen to it at the right time...
I don't listen to radio or punk rock much sooo... don't ask me when the right time is.
