I think Darko should shut up about the dam search button, im not sure about other people but I dont mind if other people repeat certain threads which are anciant. Thats how I feel anyway, I would like to know what other people think.

if a thread is more than a month or so old it's ok to repeat it, so long as it's not something that repeats EVERY month or two.

I think the search button is a handy thing and should be utilized.

Sometimes it's more annoying to see a really old bumped thread than to see a repeat. Repeats are OK in my mind as long as it's not a really stupid repeat of something that was just recently posted or bumped (see the rightfully closed Living End thread in Other Bands), or if it's some idiotic thread like "Top 10 Favorite Bands." And if there are tons of threads about the same thing all the time, it's obviously a problem.

In general, repeats in this forum have been OK, because usually they bring back a discussion that was sort of fun. In Other Bands and Politics, I've found that repeats are almost always annoying.

to tell you the truth, i think everyone should forget about whining about the search button. save up for a phone and call someone who really cares.

If it's something diffrent it isn't so bad but when you see 20 Bad Religion or Greenday threads it gets pretty annoying. Or when someone makes somehing like photo album.

The search button should still be used as much as possible.

In somewhere like tour talk, it would be good if they would just scroll down the first page sometimes. Half the time there are a couple of threads regarding touring in the some country.

Oh. OK. Don't know him. Or I don't care enough to pay attention to him. One of the two.

It was just a suggestion. In hindsight this is probably a different Darko.

I'm going to be sooo disappointed if they don't eat pudding. As I live in Kansas I expect I'll have to wait a while to see it.

i love being coastal. sadly the majority of my friends are not comfortable enough with their sexuality to see a movie about gay cowboys.

Oh, I can't wait to see it. I admit I'll probably giggle a bit, but I'm also genuinely interested to see if they can achieve their goal of making it a true love story, not just a gay story. Interestingly, all the tv ads I've seen for it have blatantly avoided the gay angle.

I also desperately want to buy it for my dad at some point and hope he hasn't heard of it, because he loves cowboy movies. That would be awesome.

Oh, an interesting thing about this film is that it made something like ten times what King Kong made on opening weekend, on a per cinema basis. Also, it made more in total only showing at about 60 locations than some films make with a full release. Of course, some of this can be attributed to targeting the right locations, but it's still very impressive and should send a message to hollywood to be more original.

Err... Darko is a member on the forum. I would have never guessed it was about Gay cowboys from the advertisments. I wanted to see Jarhead, was it any good.

Constantly repeated threads are annoying, but so are the ten people who respond, "OMGZ USE THE FUKIN SEARCH BUTTON ASSHOLE".

I enjoyed Jarhead. If you're gonna see it, my only advice is to know what it is beforehand. I saw the movie with 4 of my friends and I was the only one who liked it because they all thought it was gonna be a "war movie," with tons of combat and battles. They were into that shit. I don't really like war movies that much. Except for some rare exceptional war films, they're sort of all the same. Jarhead is a Marines movie, it's not a war movie. It's great if you're planning on seeing a movie that gives an interesting look into the life of a sniper in the Gulf War, because that's what it is.

Sounds good to me, I'll have to check it out sometime.
