not sure... at first i thought it could be a virus of somesort, did a virus scan and nothing, so i thought id just post here in the hope to find out someone on here is that person or someone here as encountered something similar.

Sype didnt even ask if i would like to allow this person to see if im online.

Shit, yeah, I heard about that. Apparently the only way to get rid of it is to unplug your internet and format your computer.

Yeah, but don't go doing some stupid shit like formatting your computer then putting in a CD or disk you've recently burnt/written to and put it right back on your computer. Like those pesky viruses that hide in System Restore so even if they're removed they'll come back the next time you reset to a previous restore point. Might pay to format/destroy disks too. I mean, they're useless anyway, if they're infected.

And don't bother getting a new Internet connection, they lurk and they'll just come back.

I'm suddenly glad I don't have my own computer or Internet connection, cos if a virus gets onto the computer I'm using in the library or my friend's computer,it isn't my problem! :)

My brother had the same virus a while ago, but he waited too long to fix it so he had to take his computer to the store again to get it fixed.

So, what does this virus do? Does it cause mischief or is it just annoying?

yeah, what sucks so much about it?

wait a couple of days with it in your system and it'll get simply unbearable to use the computer.

Everything may seem ok now, but the virus is designed to be hidden away where you can't easily find it. Are you sure you've formatted your PC properly?

yeh i did it correctly, ive had a look through my registry and such comparing it to others, and everything is completely normal in there. and there has been no other issues, my sister has been using the computer whilst ive been away.
