have you heard their album City Of Evil straight through?

My only problem with A7X is that they are very unoriginal, they're not blind paralitics, but they couldn't make an original idea if someone were threatening to make them blind paralitics.

I don't know, I found it quite funny.

Some of their lyrics are really cheesey, but there is no denying that the lead guitarist and drummer are both amazing musicians. The reason I listen to them is for those two.

I have only heard one song by them and I wasn't too impressed, although the drummer was pretty good. But it's metal drumming, it always sounds harder than it really is.

If the song you heard was bat country, you have to hear the other songs off City of Evil, b/c Bat Country is one of the weakest songs on the album.

I wouldn't go as far to say this band are talentless, but there is no denying it they suck and are very unoriginal.

unholy confessions
sieze the day
strength of the world
sidewinder

theses are thier best songs in my opinion.

when you go to see them live, expect only 1 song, or 2 or 3 songs and be thier for a week, thier songs are waaay too long.

i meen come on, an average song is around 8 minutes for them...way too dragged out in my opinion

Yea...and I don't think they shorten them for live performances

WAY too long ,they might cut them but I don't think so...I think it would be best to have a few really long songs and the rest normal lengths

nvm, I heard the first seven songs from City of Evil before you recommended those songs. There's absolutely nothing interesting that stood out from them.

A few weeks ago my fiancÚ's cover band was looking for a few new songs for their setlists. He suggested "Bat Country" but the guitarist complained that it was too hard to play. FiancÚ, being trained as a jazz bassist, said that the solo is nothing more than patterns and arpeggios that can be mastered with enough patience and time.

So kids, if you want to learn the solo to "Bat Country," buy a book on jazz patterns and arpeggios and use it as a reference guide to help you master it.

...And this is a grown guitarist who can't play the solo? Wow, it's not that hard to play at all... Like your fiance said, it just takes some practice.

bd007h
01-17-2006, 07:44 PM
I'm not a guitarist, but the bat country solo doesn't sound like it would be that hard for someone who has experience. The solos for MIA, Second Heartbeat, and I Won't See You Tonight part 2 sound like they would be much harder

last night's show was fucking sweet. I got the Autograph of CKY's Guitarist, and I talked to the singer of one of the other Opening bands, Bullets and Octane. During A7X's set, some kid next to my friend and I fucking puked. It was disgusting. I got caught in a couple Mosh pits, but I survived.
