So the new album is awesome. Arak0r was right that it seems like it's probably their most consistent (though I'm not sure I'd say it's actually their best). It's a lot more straightforward than their last few albums but it's still a lot more grown-up sounding than their earlier stuff was. I'm slightly disappointed by the lack of any real oddball tracks though.

I've never really gotten into them, no doubt they are an awesome band though. I've always loved Evenflow, Yellow Ledbetter + Alive.
They were on Jools Holland's show last night, they gave an awesome performance.

I feel the need to change my opinion on this. It sounded really good the first couple times I listened to it but the novelty wore off pretty quick. I haven't listened to it much at all since about a week or two after first getting it. Most of the songs sound like they were written on the spot with no real thought put into them. Those songs still SOUND fine though. They don't make me cringe or anything, they just don't give you any reason to listen to them again and again. The few songs that sound like they spent more than 5 mintues on them are great, but the album as a whole was generally disappointing.

I've got the new album, first time round I wasn't too impressed with it. However, 2nd time I listened to it I really liked it, it seems like one of those albums you have to listen to it more than once to really like it, I can't put my finger on what my favorite song is though.

I really like the new album, it's no 'Ten' but it's good. I don't think it has any stand out tracks, apart from maybe 'Worldwide Suicide' and I'm quite fond of 'Inside Job' also, but there's nothing astonishing. I think it has an overall more mellow (even when not intended) sound, Eddie Vedder's voice doesn't seem as powerful as it usually does.

Very good album in my opinion, but my least favorite from Pearl Jam.

I want it. (http://www.amazon.com/Live-at-Gorge-05-06/dp/B000Q677KO/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1/103-1078977-2973400?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1182392114&sr=8-1) It's only $35!

Also, I re-read my last post about their s/t album. I actually think it's a lot of fun to listen to. Half of me wishes they had done stuff with a bit more depth and more experimenting, but the other half wants to smash that half for never having any fun.

I like that band. I recently got Ten, but I can`t listen to the whole album, I get bored. But Alive is probably one of my favourite songs ever. What a good song, I love the damned solo.

They're playing an open air show here the 28th. I might go inside, because my dad really likes them, and I enjoy their music too. Don't think I'll actually go inside though since I'll be working that week. I'll at least watch them from outside the gates.

I sincerely believe that their longevity portends their ingratiating, humble, imaginative, enlightened , magically wonderful talents fromthis point to infinity, they have the same clout, in my humble opinion , as Queen, The Eagles, Foreigner, Black Sabbath, Ozzy Osbourne, Metallica, Judas Priest, AC-DC, Ronnie James Dio, & other great bands, like Led-Zeppelin, & Pink Floyd. :p

They were voted the best American rock band by People magazine. My favorite song is probably Unemployable.

The vocals are horrible, the guitarplay is alright. Together it sums up something mediocre.

Man, Grabbal. Life Wasted is such a rocking song. Makes me wanna learn guitar just for songs like that.

Didn't get to see too much though but there was hundreds, or maybe thousands outside the gate in the park. There was a really great mood and you could hear the music very well. Good times.
The Red Hot Chili Peppers played there last sunday, the next morning the train station looked like a giant pile of garbage, unbelieveble. I hope it won't be as bad tomorrow morning, it was hard and gross too walk through.

Tijs, you wouldn't happen to know where I can find the radio edit of Evenflow, would you? I like it a lot better than the original version, but I can't seem to get ahold of it.

Blah. Yeah, it's hard to get ahold of. The guitar is different, and the solo doesn't even sound the same. Thanks for trying, though.
