It's spelled bass.

TheUnholyNightbringer
01-24-2006, 07:55 AM
"Favourite" and "best" are two different things. For example, my favourite is Flea, because of his half-slap technique. However, he's not the best. Speed-wise, Steve Harris of Iron Maiden and ex-bassist of Dragonforce Adrian Lambert are the best. Technique-wise, Billy Sheehan of Mr Big and Cliff Burton of Metallica are/were the best.#

By the way, completely wrong section.

Also, people who spell "bass" as "base" need quickpaindeath.

Les Claypool
He's my favorite as well. Much more in-your-face than Flea is.

Victor Wooten is one of the best, so is Jaco Pastorius (sp?).

There's thousands of bands that play slap bass.

Anyway, if you want some true 11 string bass skills, then watch this (http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=6755907136170174469&q=Mario+theme+bass).

He's got nothing on GG Allin.

And I think Green Day played naked once, so that really makes it sound less impressive.

I was watching MTV one night and there was a special on about the RHCP.
And there was a part about woodstock(i dont remember what year).
The RHCP where playing that year and Flea was playinf so hard that he got a hole in his thumb.
Between songs a roadie would put crazy glu in the whole.
And Flea finisht the concert.

Thats comitment

Andy

I wouldn't like to play guitar/bass naked. There'd always be that underlying fear of getting some kind of friction burn on your chap.
