What are your favorite intros? (this thread was made back in 7/05 so I think making a new thread is better than reviving a really old one)
My personal favorite just rocks and always gets stuck in my head. That intro is...

Infected- Bad Religion

I'm gonna go with Unknown Road by Pennywise. I just really like the piano intro, which suddenly goes into guitar.

Incanation by Steve Vai is really good, there are a few great DT intros, but my favorite may just be Blue Monday by Orgy.

I love the intro to I'll Be Waiting, it's like a solo just starting the song

The best INTRO is definately Overture by Bad Religion, yet, that's an intro to a CD.... but the best intro to a song is definately Frogger by Bad Religion. It pwns any other.

The intro to I Know Why Dinosaurs Became Extinct by Frenzal Rhomb is a pretty awesome intro. It's only a 15 second song but it's got something like a 40 second overly flamboyant piano intro.

New Rose-The Damned "Is she really going out with him?" even though it was stolen from another song.

Infected- Bad Religion... I had to say it again after how great I think it is.
Also,
Rock and Roll Ain't Noise Pollution- AC/DC (Especially after the Nike commercial on TV right now)
For Those About To Rock We Salute You- AC/DC (I like the slower intro and it makes it sound important)
Suddenly Tragic- cKy (Those drums and then the guitars are just perfect for the song)
Emerge- Fischerspooner (Even though it is electronic, it is a cool intro)
Everlong- Foo Fighters (Just great)
I Predict A Riot- Kaiser Chiefs (Maybe the best part of the song)
Blind- Korn ("Are you ready?")
My Generation- Limp Bizkit (Perfect pumped up material)
Da Hui- The Offspring (Just those first few seconds)
We Are One- The Offspring (Just sweet)
Kick Him When He's Down- The Offspring (Just sweeter)
L.A.P.D.- The Offspring (Just sweetest)
Black Betty- Spiderbait (I like that little hillbilly guitar they got)
No Reason- Sum 41 (Cuts right to the sweet loud stuff)
Open Your Eyes- Sum 41 (No one could intro a song like that any better)
Dirty Little Thing- Velvet Revolver (Fast-paced)
Get Free- The Vines (Just listen)
Bust A Move- Young MC ("Bust It")

Half of those songs hardly even have intros. And Guerrilla Radio's intro is about 4 times longer than it needs to be; it kind of pisses me off.

Also, Deeper Underground - Jamiroquai. What a bassline.

I'm going to agree with that.

Mannen som blev en gris

DIO- Man on the silver mountain
'Scuse me, but Man on the silver mountain is Rainbow. Though the song was sung by a little man whose last name was Dio.
And In Memoriam sounds the same throughout the whole song, so...

Okay, that's all.

AFI - The Leaving Song Pt. 2

I love the way that starts, with the quiet and chilling little guitar riff that tunes in to the loud song it becomes. I love it.

Yeah I love the "Can't Repeat" intro. Once you start the song, you just can't shut it off.Definately. Its fun to play on the bass and drums too. But the drumming is simple, but still fun because its a great song.
