As far as I know no-one has created this kind of thread yet, so I was just wondering out of all The Offspring's songs, which do you think has the best bridge that leads into the final chorus?

I feel that the one in Dammit, I Changed Again is pretty immense, Ron's drumming in that bridge is amazing.

What do you guys think? The bridge in Come Out Swinging is also very good.

In fact, I've just listened to 'It'll Be A Long Time' too and the bridge in that is quality aswell. Prolly one of my all time favourites.

Can't say what is the best...there are lots of great bridges!!! in almost every song! I love the bridge on "Have You Ever" when only the drums play and then it goes more quiet, and then starts again with guitar and synbals and the Greg starts to play his own thing, then "When the truth walks away....." starts! It was a crappy explination but you know what I mean!!! It's awsome!!!! :D

Whoa a lot of!
This "bridge" is my favorite part of the music!
Iīd say: 1000 days, blackball, No hero, Genocide, something to believe in, itīll be a long time, way down the line, have you ever, the end of the line, come out swinging, dammit I change again, one fine day, vultures, the noose, Never gonna find me and Lightning rod!

Whoa, a lot!

What is a bridge in a song?

Bad Habit, if you count the spoken part.

Edit: A bridge is a different part of a song that is usually only played once, and typically is slower and/or softer than the rest of the song.

That is definatly, its just amazing how the whole song changes at that point, it doesn't get much better than that.

Very true. The bridge and the rest of the song is the peak of Have You Ever.

Another great bridge yet again (there are so many). I love it how the sound builds up from quite and soft to loud and heavy.

They have a lot of good bridges (makes sense since they have a lot of good songs)...I like the ones in No Brakes, Long Way Home, and Million Miles Away a lot, just to name a few.
