Am I too young to read his books or what? Today I tried to read The Last 120 Days of Sodom and I kinda... couldn't. Is there something wrong with me or is there something wrong with that book? Or it's just because I'm a virgin?

I read half of Philosophy in the Bedroom, if that's the title.
"It has pleased Nature so to make us that we attain happiness only by way of pain. But once vanquished and had its way, nothing can equal the joy one tastes upon the entrance of this member into our ass, it is a pleasure incontenstably superior to any sensation produced by the same introduction in front."
It was hilarious to read at some points but in general it's not really that well written, sounded like badly written porn at times and did not maintain my interest.
120 Days of Sodom is rather sick. I planned to read it. But I think I'll rather watch Passollini's Salo when I get my hands on it. Preferably with somebody who won't get disturbed.
Edit: found quote.

I read Justine when I was less than 10 years old (and, obviously, virginal) and I found it arousing to say the least.
But I was/still am one sick little thing. =p
It might be very different from 120 Days of Sodom, which I haven't read... so I don't know.

Yeah, it's all badly written porn and not that great.
But if you read his non-pornographic stuff you might get a good giggle. I found "dialogue between a priest and a dying athiest" to be wildly amusing, if only for its TRU PUNX attitude.

People with a flair for cruelty (in a sexual context) should always be tall, pale and gorgeous.
total anticlimax. i'm grossed out. he had way too many chins for his own good.

I'm liking that. Minus the fangs. =p
or he could just look like some kind of a handsome modern day dandy. mmm-hmm. not a big fatty with chins and eye bags!
