View Full Version : If you could only listen to one song...

One song for the rest of your life. What song would that be?

I would probably pick "Smells Like Teen Spirit" by Nirvana because that is my all-time favorite song or "Romantic Rights" by Death From Above 1979 because I already listen to that song constantly.

I can't handle one song forever. I always have to constantly change the whole playlist because I get bored of all the songs at the same time. But if I had to chose, it'd be Soil by SOAD, it's like 3 songs in one.

Spy vs. Spy by the Murdocks. I really don't know why.

I couldn't. It would be so annoying after a few weeks/months. Only one song... I think I'd prefer to only remember the songs I loved.

Just because I couldn't picture myself getting tired of either, maybe Stairway to Heaven or Black Dog by Led Zeppelin.

I would go in Movie Maker and make my whole place list on song. If thats against the rules I wouldn't listen ot any music.

"The Lion Sleeps Tonight" by The Tokens. I wouldn't be able to survive if I couldn't ever hear that song again. I need it for life. Haha.

A song that lasts a really fucking long time.

"As Slow as Possible" by John Cage. It was originally about 20 minutes but was changed around by a group of stupid people. They set it up so that an organ will play the song "As Slow as Possible" as slow as possible which will make it take 639 years to finish.

Nine Inch Nails - Everday is Exactly the Same
Are you saying this because of the irony of the scenario or do you genuinely like the song that much?

Either...

The Fall of Troy - Mouths Like Sidewinder Missiles
Placebo - Sleeping With Ghosts

I like the story behind the Placebo song. :) But I adore it when you sing Simon & Garfunkel. You should sing me to sleep this weekend. Only, not that song. It makes me sad.

Green day - Basket Case.

Maybe not a bad idea if you want to kill yourself instead of only hearing one song for the rest of your life.

More less like my reaction, except mine would be with a bazooka.

Something long with a lot of notes to keep my brain from getting bored of repetiveness.

Perhaps John Mclaughlin - Rhythmic or Al Di Meola - Tango Suite For Two guitars.

If I was stranded on a desert island, and I could only have one person, one book, and one record with me, I would probably die of exposure.

Currently the answer seems to be "She's Got Issues" by the Offspring.

Of course, I wouldn't have to listen to it ALL the time. I would miss other music and get tired of it eventually but eh, right now it seems like a good option.

Every Word I Say - Hanson

I have loved it ever since I first heard it, in whichever mood I was, so I guess that would be the best choice.

Though I'd probably start getting annoyed with it at some point.

Hard to say, but probably Spain, a song written by Sun Eats Hours, which is tightly connected to some of the joyful moments of my life, and marked my best year ever, 2004. The song Gone Away, written by The Offspring, would come in almost tied. It might sound strange, but I think that many things I've done since I listened to it wouldn't happen if I didn't listen to that song on the exact moment I did.

Probably something very long, like Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence by Dream Theater. It's like, 8 different songs in one, and it's 42 minutes.
